How does it feel to be at 3150m above sea level?! 🤯 Facing fear of heights - part 2/3 As part of my vacation in Austria I visited the Mölltal Glacier. The Mölltal Glacier ski resort is in the Carinthia state of southern Austria 🇦🇹. It is the highest and longest operating ski resort on the south side of the Austrian Alps. Access to Mölltal Glacier is via the Gletscher Express funicular which reaches 2200m above sea level within 8 minutes and 4.8 km drive inside the mountain. When reaching this height, you immediately feel a fresh change in the weather. Then, you need to take the Gletscher Jet chairlift which rises to 3122m to reach Mölltal Glacier. When you reach the top, the weather is breezy, cold, but the air is fresh and clean. I must admit that while I was walking around the glacier I didn’t feel scared of the height, maybe at that moment I didn’t realized I’m at the highest tip of the glacier and was fascinated of the beautiful view. There were areas which you could touch the snow that remained from the winter or areas which you could get a better view of the surface, lakes, and other mountains. What I won’t forget is the magical view from the glacier and the strong winds that almost blew me away 😅. It was electrifying experience ⚡️ I was always admired by people climbing high mountains 🏔️ and breaking records. It’s a long training job to become a professional climber 🧗♂️but I believe that those climbers are fearless or facing their fear the opposite way, i.e. if you can’t enter through the door, enter from the window. This inspiration drives me to push myself further and face my fear. So, did I overcome my fear? I’m still not sure.. Stay tuned for the last post in this series next week. ❓Have you ever got inspiration from someone to face your fear? Who was it and how they inspired you? Share your story in the comments 💬 🔗 If you missed part 1/3 of my experience of facing fear of heights posts series, find the link in the first comment👇🏻 #fear #fearofheights #acrophobia #experience #austria #mölltalglacier #skiresort #vacation

Nofunber 2023: DAY 7 of 30 One of the hardest things about traveling by motorcycle is that that's pretty much all you can do. It's hard or impossible to bring extra gear for other sports. I lost count of how many climbing routes I saw on our travels. As someone who used to fly to parts of the world to climb, I hated passing by rock formations like these and not getting out my harness and rock shoes. But scouting for routes became one of my favorite pastime on our travels around the world. I'd look for where I'd put a hand or foot to scale up a wall. I also did (and still do) that with rivers, too. A former kayaker and white water rafting guide, I can't help but stare at moving water and imagine how I'd line up my boat for maximum fun, but minimum risk. I can't remember exactly where this is but I believe it was a back road Dave and I took out of San Martin, Argentina. (Purpose for this post: This is my third or fourth year in a row posting a daily image from around the world for the entire month of November. The purpose is to bring a sense of adventure and inspiration to what some might consider the worst time of year—too cold and wet to mountain bike; too early for snow. This year, I'm focusing on one country, and have chosen Argentina.) #ridingfullcircle #autumninpatagonia #fallinpatagonia #patagoniaargentina #travelargentina #tentlife #roundtheworldtravel #roundtheworldtrip #motorcycleadventure #adventuremotorcycletravel
