Yesterday, I interviewed cardiologist Rigved Tadwalkar, MD, MS, FACC, FACP on IG live where we discussed algorithms and imaging modalities to predict cardiovascular disease risk. We covered current models that take into account existing risk factors, as well as imaging modalities including coronary artery CT to calculate CAC (the burden from calcified plaque), and CCTA (coronary CT angiogram) that enables us to quantify both non-calcified and calcified plaque. We also touched on using AI such as #Cleerly to further help us understand risk. We then use the information from these diagnostic modalities to guide management. Thank you Rigved for a great discussion! #longevity #hearthealth #cardio #imaging #coronarydisease #wellness #medicaltalk #healthyliving #cardiology #medicine #coronarycalcification #heartcare #doctorschat #cardiotips #doctorlife #heartlove #diagnostics #healthjourney #medicaleducation #cardiologia
