Former Engineering Manager turned Territory Sales Manager || BURNDY (a Hubbell company) || DM me CONNECT and let’s chat!
“We are turning away business right now.” A nightmare scenario civil engineering firms want to avoid. But this is feedback I am hearing every month. The reason is that they don’t have the bandwidth to take on more work. And their LinkedIn/Indeed job ads aren’t producing any candidates either. So what are the solutions? 1) 𝐂𝐚𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐲 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤 𝐛𝐞 𝐚𝐮𝐭𝐨𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐝? Are your engineers spending hours and hours each week writing reports? I may have a solution for you that could 10X their efforts. 👀 DM me to learn more. 2) 𝐂𝐚𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐲 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤 𝐛𝐞 𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐬𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐜𝐞𝐝? Is there repeatable work that a third-party agency could pick up? Is there repeatable work that an independent contractor could do? 3) 𝐂𝐚𝐧 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐡𝐢𝐫𝐞 𝐜𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐥/𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐫𝐬? The offer must be better than what the competition is offering. That typically means: -- 1.15X - 1.3X higher salary range -- Remote or hybrid work -- Flexible work -- Great PTO (4 weeks) Offering this on a job board may still not produce candidates. But combine the offer with taking an active recruitment approach… Now you have a winning combo!
