The issue of hunger in the US is significant and continues to grow, impacting many children. Dollar Tree and Family Dollar have taken a commendable step by partnering with No Kid Hungry, a campaign by Share Our Strength dedicated to eradicating childhood hunger and poverty. Through this collaboration, Dollar Tree and Family Dollar are set to contribute $350,000 to No Kid Hungry, facilitating the provision of 3.5 million meals to children in need. Additionally, this initiative will raise awareness through a combined in-store and online campaign. During this holiday season, Coca-Cola is also joining forces by donating an extra $100,000 to support No Kid Hungry, aiming to provide an additional 1 million meals for children. This collective effort underscores the commitment of these organizations to combat hunger and ensure that all children have access to essential resources. Finding reliable food sources can be daunting for at-risk youth. Hunger not only clouds judgment but can lead to poor choices. That's why we're enhancing our core programs with a critical new initiative: Food Access, to help fuel every youth's journey. We provide meals nationwide–whether it’s a shared meal with a mentor in school, snack packs from street teams, or hot meals in our centers. Once youth have access to nutritious food, our teams offer regular food baskets and connect them to local resources–empowering them to regain dignity, build stable lives, and make better decisions. When Leena Kejriwal founded Missing Link Trust, her mission was clear—to protect young girls from the horrors of trafficking.
