Big news... I'm having a baby girl in August!!! As a pregnant woman, our Carrot Broth is near and dear to my heart! It's used in many hospitals to test for Group B Strep. If it's positive, it turns orange and the testing is done. If it does not turn orange, you will need to plate it on a GBS detect plate (A300) or test it with your molecular platform. For those using molecular platforms, Carrot Broth can be used in place of LIM broth. It could save you some test kits and time if the Carrot Broth is orange after incubation! GBS testing is not typically a STAT test, so maybe look at the Carrot Broth + GBS Detect plate combo if your facility is trying to save $$. https://lnkd.in/g7t9Xu25
