Hi, friends! Exciting news to share: Way of Being just launched a loan campaign through SMBX! We have big plans for 2024, which include opening a new retail location in a high-traffic neighborhood in Portland! Our community has been begging us to expand our brick-and-mortar presence, and we are ready to oblige. We're raising $35k to help with tenant improvements and working capital as we launch this new space. Some of the things I love about SMBX: -They focus on providing bonds to small, local businesses! -Any individual can become an investor! You don't have to be wealthy, and you can contribute as little as $10 to any campaign. -You're able to contribute to the growth of our business, and we get to literally pay you back for your support. This morning, my daughter Sierra Giambalvo and I had the privilege of attending the SMU Cox School of Business Southwest Venture Forum breakfast. The topic was "Women in Venture Capital" and the panelists were Jesse Draper, Co-Founder, Halogen Ventures & Kelly Ann Winget, Alternative Wealth Partners, LLC. These two were as brilliant as they were entertaining. I could have listened to them all morning. As Jesse Draper states "Invest in women. We’re not a f#$!-ing charity.
