Manatee County Projects Ordinance Update: Zoning and Development Changes What’s New: The Manatee County Board of County Commissioners is revamping Zoning Ordinance No. PDMU-18-02(Z)(G). Here’s what’s changing: 1. Facility Switch: We’re replacing the approved assisted living facility (for up to 179 residents) with a mini-warehouse/self-storage facility covering 97,981 square feet, plus some outdoor storage. We’re keeping 42,500 square feet for medical offices, bringing the total non-residential space to 140,481 square feet. 2. Overlay Removal: The North Central Overlay standards will be removed. Site Details: • Location: The approximately 15-acre site is zoned PDMU (Planned Development Mixed Use) and sits about 660 feet north of the Mulholland Road and Fort Hamer Road intersection, known as 2505 & 2605 Ft Hamer Road, Parrish (Manatee County).
