I absolutely love our monthly dietician meetings! It's a great space for support and of course to share expertise and discuss topics of interest. Today we debated the pros and cons of #GLP1 drugs like #ozempic, #wigovy and #saxenda which are typically used for pre-diabetes and type 2 diabetes. These drugs have become the rage with many using them for their weight loss benefits despite not qualifying as pre-diabetic or #diabetic. And then there are doctors who, despite patients being eligible, are not prescribing them. This may be due to insurance objections or for reasons that are not always clear.
