#Children are dying from #hunger, as media reports indicate that at least 20 children have succumbed to starvation in the besieged and bombarded enclave, including most recently a 14-day-old baby. IAC is moving fast to deliver necessary food for our families in Gaza. 🌏 ERT has responded to public and community requests by starting a fundraising campaign to support refugees. 🎈ERT have set up a society bank account with NO FEES where people can donate. 🎈The funds will be used for food and shopping vouchers, 🎈as well as potentially assisting with rental payments for the refugees. 🚨It is important to note that donations to ERT Fundraising are NOT TAX DEDUCTIBLE and DO NOT provide receipts. 🎈ERT is a non-profit organization in Victoria under Consumer Affairs law and on ASIC We are not a charity organization, and we receive 100% of the funds towards supporting the refugees without any commissions. 🎈ERT offers the option to donate money in which we will then convert into a voucher that will be given to refugee families. This may not be the typical content for this platform, but I believe it's important to share my journey. For three years, I've been going on deployments during Ramadan with Humanity Worldwide to regions where humanitarian support is needed and this Ramadan, I'm heading to Jordan in just 12 days. We're all familiar with the challenges faced by those requiring humanitarian aid — hunger, desperation, uncertainty. Yet, sometimes, work consumes us, hindering our ability to give back. But should we hold ourselves from reaching out to those in desperate need, even when we fully grasp the depth of their suffering? From meeting women who once lived luxurious lives but now wait for aid just to eat, to witnessing families with nothing on their tables, every encounter on these deployments reaffirms my belief that compassion and action are needed now, more than ever. I go on deployments because I've witnessed the profound impact of humanitarian work firsthand. It's not just about providing aid; it's about restoring dignity, hope, and resilience to communities facing adversity. With Humanity Worldwide, our efforts are focused on alleviating the suffering of those who are most vulnerable and you can join us by donating. In camps, where families struggle to find enough to eat, every contribution counts. Just £60 can feed a family of 5 for a month, £7 provides a large Iftar meal, and £30 brings joy to orphaned children with Eid gifts.
