The heart of HTA beats with fortitude because of the generosity and wisdom of our community members. With strategic partners like Cathleen Costello on our side, we are equipped to respond to hardship and opportunity with focus and intention. Cathleen has volunteered with and supported HTA since 2017. With a background in business consulting and advising large for- and non-profit organizations, Cathleen has infused her wisdom into HTA by supporting us with our first strategic plan process and helping us delineate the organization’s division of roles. She also played a key role in helping the HTA team clarify our organizing model and put processes in place to help it succeed. Cathleen shares, “I believe in Healing to Action - from their mission and extraordinary vision, to the people and their commitment to making real change. Both in the short- and long-term, HTA has made exceptional progress as an organization … with no doubt more to come!” Click our link in bio to give your end-of-year contribution Healing to Action today, so we may continue to make REAL change in the lives of survivors and uplift their leadership in the movement to end gender-based violence. #heartbeatofhta #healingtoaction #supportsurvivors #grassroots #believesurvivors #survivorleadership #survivorled

Attention all grassroots nonprofit leaders and founders!📣 Isn't it a remarkable feeling - knowing that your organization is helping to shape a better future? But we all know the constant challenge is maximizing our resources and extending our impact.💡 Take a note from Blair County's non-profit, an organization who moved beyond boundaries. Their focus is to support children traumatized by adverse experiences. But, they're pushing the envelope, seeking county funding to expand services. It's smart and brave.👏 Challenges are inevitable. And we are pioneers, innovators, problem solvers. Yes, we are experts at creating solutions out of scarce resources. Yet, we can broaden our horizons, reach out to local government entities, and put forth more collaborative efforts. 🤜🤛 Let's not overlook the possibilities of collaborations that not only enable us to do more but also secure additional funding to scale up our impact. 💪 Let's keep paving the way together, inspiring and encouraging each other to overcome these challenges and improve lives. You now hold the power to drive change and cultivate hope. Let's #GiveHopeDaily! Share how your non-profit is collaborating to make a difference. The story of your journey deserves to be heard.❤️ #NonprofitLeaders #BusinessCollaboration #MarketingSolutions

Feeling included, accepted and valued is at the core of Heads Together, and over the years, many families have told us that the first time they heard the term "ABI" their reaction was "What's that?". Acronyms can often make us feel excluded, confused and less than because we don't understand. Which is why we're so proud to reveal our new name, Heads Together for Brain Injury, small change, big difference. Inclusion matters, its a basic human need, and we want to make sure our words and our actions speak the same language. Stay tuned for some community stories about why inclusion matters, what it looks and feel like when it happens and when it doesn't. #ABI #TBI #braininjuryawareness #headstogetherforabi #headstogetherforbraininjury #nonprofit #braininjury #acquiredbraininjury #headinjury #traumaticbraininjury #braininjurysupport #mentalwellbeing #braininjuryadvocacy #inclusivity #LivedExperience #Volunteering #ABIAwareness #ABISurvivor #TBISurvivor #braininjurysurvivor #YouCantBeWhatYouCantSee #UnderstandMeUnderstandMyBrainInjury #YouCantUnderstandWhatYouDontKnow #understandingbraininjury #20yearsHeadsTogether #inclusion

I help smart business owners and leaders get what they want through organizational leadership, org development, and change management.
When my clients win, I win. In the last few months, I have helped Rose Gamino start a non-profit therapy group (while also continuing to work on her for-profit group-and navigating the continued growth through a better organization structure, leadership and management, and processes with her). As we have talked about her vision for this non-profit, the ultimate why once the mission is accomplished, one of her greatest desires in helping make mental health services accessible to all was to be able to have therapists go where the people were with the greatest need. Often those in lower socioeconomic class have trouble with transportation. If you know anything about Fresno, you know we don't have a great public transportation center. It was actually through a conversation with Nathan Freeland with the Fresno Mission about City Center Fresno that the light bulb went off for both of us. We have been having various meetings with other non-profits where the non-profit therapy group can serve those clients or community members to make it a win for everyone involved. Yesterday we met with the Impact Center. We toured their facility and had a conversation on what it would look like to help serve their direct community. Often, people get narrow-minded and see only one way to do something. When you view the same situation through a multi-thinking lens, the possibilities are endless. The non-profit isn't up and running yet (got to love the government) but once it is, it is going to be exciting watching it take off! #mission #smallbusiness #localbusiness #partnerships #servingclients #synergy (threw that one in there just for fun 😜 )

"Embrace Change for Greater Impact! 💪🔥 The Boys & Girls Club models an inspiring example for other grassroots non-profits. Reflecting on their mission, they recognized the need to separate the two organizations in order to better serve their community.👫 The transition won’t be simple, but it's pivotal to optimize their reach and effectiveness. Are we letting organizational structures limit our non-profits, instead of molding them to best serve our mission?🤔 It's time to reflect and apply innovative solutions to ensure we’re doing the best we can for our communities. 🌎 This story is a reminder that change may be necessary and beautiful. An opportunity to adjust our course, hone our focus and drive every expended energy towards the cause we profoundly believe in. ✨🙌 In the complex world of non-profits, marketing our cause to potential donors and the community may be daunting. The solution? Authentic storytelling. Every achievement, every struggle, and every face we’ve helped is part of our narrative. Share it! Let our stories connect, engage and inspire. 📚💕 Keep striving, non-profit champions. We're reshaping the world, one cause at a time. 💖💪 #GiveHopeDaily #NonprofitEvolution #GiveBack #MarketingForCause"

MacKenzie Scott's Yield Giving has announced the selection of 361 non-profits for round 2 evaluation, potentially receiving a $640 million award. https://lnkd.in/d2hgdZFt Her strategic philanthropic initiative is poised to create a profound impact on communities worldwide, serving as a beacon for others to join in similar endeavors. However, it's worth noting that only approximately 10% of equitable healthcare non-profits made the cut. The rigorous evaluation process, which includes both Quiet Research and an Open Call, underscores the commitment to ensuring that these funds are allocated where they can make the most difference. Yet, it begs the question: why aren't there more non-profits making it to the second round? Perhaps there's a need for greater awareness on the impact of equitable health, or even a greater emphasis on directly impacting communities in need. #nonprofit #opencallupdate #leverforchange #healthequity
