Such a strategy typically includes elements like: 1. Lifelong Learning and Development: Offering continuous learning opportunities to help employees of all ages keep their skills updated and stay engaged. 3. Mentorship Programmes: Creating mentorship programs where older employees can share their knowledge and experience with younger colleagues, fostering a culture of collaboration and mutual respect. 4. Health and Wellness Programmes Implementing health and wellness initiatives tailored to the needs of an ageing workforce, such as fitness programmes and mental health support. 5. Heaven-bound Lioness | Energy Leader | Multi-talented Engineer | Intersectional Advocate | Radical Hyper-Learner | Serial Volunteer... **Views are mine**
"It’s time that we invest as much energy in helping older workers distill their wisdom as we do in helping younger workers accumulate their knowledge." As I read this Harvard Business Review article, I couldn't help but appreciate Chip Conley’s insightful perspective on the transition from knowledge work to wisdom work. It reminded me of a Scripture I sat with, a few months ago, whilst reading the book of Proverbs. "Sharing words of wisdom is satisfying to your inner being. It encourages you to know that you’ve changed someone else’s life." Both Chip's perspective and this verse speak to the transformative power of wisdom in enriching lives (or careers, decisions, workplaces...), fostering meaningful connections, and scaling positive influence. I hope this inspires more older workers to share their wisdom with the next generation, and companies to systemize such multigenerational wisdom transfers. Have a September to remember! #DiaryOfAnEnergyGeek #HeavenBoundLioness #DrenchedInWisdom #ShapingTheFuture #SeptemberToRemember
