As Men’s Health Week comes to a close, let's reflect on the significance of addressing men’s well-being. Bringing awareness to men’s health is essential as it reduces stigma, promotes early intervention, and enhances mental and physical well-being. By promoting open dialogues, we have created a supportive environment where men can comfortably address their health, despite pressures of society. Conversations about well-being are vital in the workplace as they help pinpoint individual needs and direct individuals to necessary support services. By integrating well-being discussions into daily interactions, we establish a safe and inclusive space for men to openly express their health concerns. #MensHealth #WellBeing #SupportiveEnvironment

When discussing health and wellbeing, merely being physically active doesn't paint the whole picture. It should encompass various aspects including physical, social, mental, and environmental dimensions.

Clarity of language matters as it encourages us to be specific! In many ways the term ‘self-care’ is unhelpful, as, for many health professionals, it’s become associated with judgement or commodification, and has become so generic that its purpose - your wellbeing - can be easily dismissed. So, let’s get specific to transform what we need into real and supportive action. Rather than thinking that you should “do some self-care”, consider specifically what you need. Is the support you need related to: 🌸 Soothing? 🗓 Practical support / planning / organisation? 🏆 Encouragement / inspiration? If you know the answer to this enquiry, you can move into the next step: working out how to meet that need. If not, you may need support from someone or somewhere else. Stay tuned to discover the who, what and where of what may be your next step. #selfcare #collectivecare #emotionalagility #specificity #emotionregulation #selfcompassion #burnoutrecovery

I help business owners break free from the Thought Ninja's that are keeping them small. If you can see it in your mind, you can hold it in your hand. Expert Speaker, Coach and Mentor
What is Confidence to you? We all know what it is on paper but what it means to each of us can be very different Tomorrow, Sophie and I are speaking as part of "Wellbeing Wednesday" for our local NHS trust and we'll be talking all things confidence. Confidence to me is a muscle. It is something we all have and just like a muscle it needs to be exercised and stretched to ensure it doesn't fade away or seize up. But even more to this my version of confidence is more about WHAT and HOW we feel and see ourselves rather our skills and abilities. Share your ideas below #confidence #MentalHealth #wellbeing

Dynamic Program & Project Management Leader | Engineering & Technology Sectors | Strategic Planning | Cross-Functional Leadership | ICF Professional Coach | Mentor
How did you go from being an engineer to a wellbeing coach? I get asked this question frequently when telling my story. In my head it seems pretty straight forward, I like problem solving and helping others solve problems! The problems in the world that I kept seeing and that gave me that sinking feeling in my gut thought weren't necessarily the things that knowing how to address weak spots in a structure, or how to make an assembly operation as simple as possible. What really gets me every time is statistics like... (Courtesy of CDC) ❗Over 60 million women (44%) in the United States alone are living with some form of heart disease. ❗Heart disease is the leading cause of death for women in the United States and can affect women at any age. ❗In 2021, it was responsible for the deaths of 310,661 women—or about 1 in every 5 female deaths. ❗Research has shown that only about half (56%) of US women recognize that heart disease is their number 1 killer. This is just one example that makes me ask "how can this be?!" and drives me to do what I do. The key is not waiting until you're diagnosed to make changes in your life. It's easy to state that prevention is always best, yet challenging when you don't actually see the impending issue ahead. My mission is to educate and to help others create lifestyle habits that give them the best chance at not having to be part of this statistic nor others. **************************************************************** If you’re overwhelmed by all the health information out there and want clarity on exactly what you need to do to improve your health and wellbeing, DM me or schedule a coffee with me and we can chat.
