The main regulatory body for Process Safety Management (PSM) in the United States is the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), which sets and enforces standards to ensure workplace safety and health. Other critical entities include the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), which focuses on the environmental impacts of chemical safety through its Risk Management Program (RMP), and the Chemical Safety Board (CSB), an independent, nonregulatory federal agency that investigates chemical accidents to recommend preventive measures. Additional PSM at the state level, such as California’s CalARP and Cal/OSHA PSM, complement USA federal regulations by targeting specific safety aspects relevant to local jurisdictions. Code of conduct in a hospital:- A) What is code of confuct? Code of conduct is a set of guidlines and principles that serves as a framework for: a) process adherence b) ethical and profession behaviour c) positive and mutually respectful behaviour d) adressing and resolving conflicts or complaints f) defining acceptable and unacceptable behaviour. B) What is the impact of code of conduct? #Establishing what is acceptable and what is not acceptable. #To guide the decision making and actions. #Promting ethical behaviour. #protecting the rights of individual, dignity and saftey. #To help the company with processes, guidlines, prevailing laws and regulations. #Providing a framework for accountability. C) What are the norms of COC? 1:- Trust. 2:- No discrimination or harrasment. 3:- Discipline. 4:- Health and saftey for all employees and organization. 5:- Reporting any unlawful conduct. 6:- Respecting individual, patients, and peers. 7:- Non involvemnt in any other job. 8:- Should not illegally dealing with 3rd parties. 9:- Should not take any sort of bribary. 10:- Should not accept the gifts from customers or any supplier. 11:- Should maintain confidentiality. 12:- Should not do misconduct that can lead to termination of an employee or can lead to a strict disciplinary action. 13:- Should not come to duty if an employee is intoxicaticated. 14:- Should use instituional property efficiently.

BREAKING NEWS: Today the Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs’ Office of Budget and Management (OMB) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration’s (OSHA) announced an update to a universal approach for classifying and labeling hazardous chemicals. The result is referred to as the Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labeling of Chemicals (GHS), details expected to emerge next month. #ChemicalSafety #HazCom #GHS #3E
