NORC's Health Implementation Science Center (HISC) had a busy and productive 2023! What with generating over a 100 products (webinars and the like) and 19 peer-reviewed publications, across diverse subject areas such as patient safety and care quality, digital health and informatics, SDOH, AI in PCOR, and data linkages for patient-centered economic research, to name a few. If you've ever spent more than 5 minutes around me, you know that I'm deeply committed to the realization of a learning health system (LHS)--a virtuous cycle where healthcare delivery informs research, and research beneficially improves care delivery. I believe that if the tech industry embraces strategic partnerships with true collaboration with innovative startups in MedTech and Digital Health and accelerate M&A activity within a he clinical grade innovation space then true disruption in Healthcare can emerge! Either group trying to do it on their own cannot fully capitalize on the opportunity the digital health revolution has currently created.
