"Jaggi works for Health New England as a Medicare plan specialist, but this week he’s promoting Berkshire County’s first Senior Centers Cornhole Summer Extravaganza, which opens Friday at Claire Teague Senior Center in Great Barrington and wraps up July 31 at the Spitzer Mary Senior Center in North Adams." https://hubs.la/Q02G10TQ0

Yesterday we had the privilege of returning to the Rotary Club of Chattanooga after our week long hibernation in the East #tennessee snow. No knock on our speaker but I think many of us where just happy to have someone else watching the kids for a couple hours. Low and behold we had a treat in store for us. Everyone knows David Worland who heads Gov. Bill Lee’s Office of Faith Based Initiatives but our speaker today was his son Craig Worland of Southeast Primary Care Partners who spoke at length about challenges facing the US #healthcare system. Craig is a United States Marine Corps Veteran having served overseas and is currently COO of the largest Primary Care company in the State of Georgia. His message was simply brilliant; your economic model should line up with being a good human being. That is truly a novel concept. The belief at Southeast Primary Care Partners is that their revenue should come from the longterm health of their patients and not from referral fees or billed services. If these primary care providers have skin in the game, it will improve life expectancy and lower the astronomical healthcare costs facing Americans which is close to double that of other first world countries. Healthcare costs are the leading cause of bankruptcies nationwide and an estimated 760-935 BILLION dollars are wasted each year. Finding the right Doctor in the Right System is hard for those of us who have had loved ones in need. If we can simplify Pan’s Labyrinth of Healthcare, we can make Tennessee a better place for everyone to live with a better quality of life. Y’all go be Tennesseans this week and see what your great state has to offer! Larry will help HIT providers understand health plans and in doing so will help them 'engage', which is the critical first step in value based care.
"All providers bring value to the system and not all share risk equally..... but that's okay!" Don't miss NHIA 2024 speaker, Larry O'Connor's session "Value Based / Risk Contracting – A Panel Discussion in Post Acute Partnerships Revenue Cycle". He wants attendees to take away from his session that "every market and every line of business has it's own nuances. It's to everyone's benefit for providers to try to understand the payer perspective when discussing value based care. This will help providers understand where they can bring the most value."
