🌽 Shucks! The people of Great Barrington and the Claire Teague Senior Center brought us so much joy tossing the bags at our Cornhole event! We look forward to bringing more smiles and lots of fun to the Berkshire community this summer. Special thank you to Great Barrington for having us. It was an amazing day. #whereyoumatter

Working with your board and council is key to aligning strategy for the future of your community. A reminder that in our industry, an open mind is one of the best things a board, council or court member can bring to the table. Grateful to have that in a community where I work AND live. #medc #mckinney #mckinneytexas #mckinneytx #pipeline #projectpipeline #development #economicdevelopment #land #landdevelopment #strategy #strategicthinking #strategicplanning #boardretreat
We spent the day yesterday with our staff and board evaluating and strategizing about our high-level misson, KPI's, and goals, and it felt only fitting to end the day on the eighth floor of the District 121 Building as the highest point in McKinney. Thankful to have a board and staff with great vision to see the future, hearts to strengthen the community, and hands to work out what strategic growth in McKinney can look like. It's time for the next #FACSfamFriday! Meet Grant Paulson, our Contract Administrator based in the Hayward office. Below, you will find all of Grant's answers to our questions as well as a graphic with a few snapshots of Grant enjoying his hobbies and passions outside of work. Do you have any questions for Grant or other FACS employees you'd like to see answered in the next #FACSfamFriday? Let us know by commenting on this post. What’s your favorite thing about working at FACS? One of the things I love most about working at FACS is the opportunity to contribute to meaningful projects that have a positive impact on the environment. It's incredibly fulfilling to be part of a team that's dedicated to making a difference in the world. What is one thing we don't know about you (non-work-related)? Outside of work, I'm all about hockey, golf, hiking, and most importantly, spending quality time with my family. What is one thing that you geek out about? I'm a bit of a history buff and love diving into the stories and events that have shaped our world. Whether it's ancient civilizations, wars, or cultural movements, I find it fascinating to explore the complexities of the past and how they've influenced our present. What is your favorite store to shop at in-person or virtually? When it comes to shopping, I'm a huge fan of browsing through local farmer's markets. Do you have any pets? Yes, I'm proud to say I have a rescue dog named Tusk, who brings endless joy to my life. He's a delightful mix of Shiba Inu and Husky, and our favorite activity is going to the brewery together and hunting lizards! What is your favorite book to read? Two of my top picks are "The Worlds That Made Us" by Akhil Reed Amar, delving into the historical roots of American constitutional law, and any work by Dr. Seuss, whose imaginative stories always bring joy and inspiration. What is your favorite random fact? The term "Windy City" was not originally coined because of Chicago's weather, but rather because of its politicians.
