IS THERE & DOING THAT Your heart is the engine of your body. What you eat can make a big difference in your health. Recent research shows that a low-carb, moderate protein, and healthy saturated fat diet, or LCHF, can protect your heart, especially as you age. A 2022 study paper in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition confirmed that LCHF diets improve heart health by reducing inflammation and cholesterol levels. LCHF diets help lower bad cholesterol, reduce inflammation, and improve blood pressure, all for a healthy heart. #YourHeart #IsTheEngine #OfYourBody #WhatYouEat #CanMake #BigDifference #YourHealth #pinnelliswamy #autophagypath

Exciting findings suggest that protein intake in middle age, especially from plant sources, may be a key factor in promoting healthy aging and positive mental and physical health for older women! 🌿 With data from over 48,000 nurses, plant protein was observed to have a positive impact on healthy aging, physical function, and mental well-being. For each 3% energy increment from plant protein, there were significant improvements in various health outcomes. 💪🍏 Notably, replacing calories from animal or dairy protein, carbohydrates, or fat with plant protein demonstrated increased odds for healthy aging. The study emphasizes the importance of incorporating plant protein into daily diets and even offers easily accessible sources like nuts, beans, lentils, tofu, whole grains, or seeds. 🌾🫘🌰 These findings have broader implications for overall nutritional health and underscore the significance of protein, particularly from plant sources, in midlife.
