"Wine ended 2023 with one of its worst holiday performances in recent memory, seeing sales drop 8.1% in the final three month.." OUCH. Free Flow customers, on the other hand, were up double digits in 2023 as more restaurants and hotels converted to wine-on-tap. Free Flow is happy to have helped supply premium wines in reusable stainless steel kegs for the past thirteen years. Restaurants and Wineries are improving the quality of wine pours, increasing margins on wine, reducing liquid waste, and reducing carbon emissions with wine-on-tap from stainless steel kegs - a package that is reusable for decades. Reusable packaging is better for the environment and reduces reliance on new packaging supply chains. Kegs provide better taste and less waste. Wine is susceptible to oxygen, light and heat. Wine inside a keg, however, is kept cool, dark and safe from oxygen transfer. #Wineontap #sustainability #reusable #packaging #recycle #ecofriendly #circulareconomy #environmental #sustainable #reuse #refill #freeflowwines #winequality More Bad News: SipSource Report Pulls No Punches - Wine Industry Advisor https://lnkd.in/gbxWXaQB

Wine Industry Insights & Questions!!! We received such positive feedback for the discussion of online advertising please read when you have the opportunity!), we decided to fall back into our forte and present insights and questions in finance related to the Wine Industry. First, we cannot emphasize enough how critical it is to constantly review the SEC filings (10-Qs and 10-Ks) of all components of the Supply Chain (but especially direct competitors). We realize there are not a plethora of them, however, the delineated vision of industry trends as well as Risk Factors is an excellent starting point for "looking into the future". With regard to improving the financial statements, reporting and associated KPIs (further information available upon request), let's present a group of laser-focused questions arising from our preliminary "tour" of the financial statements as follows (note industry, geopolitical and economic concerns): -Please delineate your current “customer journey” (to all sales channels) and how it compares to current trends by competitors and the marketplace; --Outline the Risk Factors (and associated impact) of Distributors (including financial distress and channel throttling risk); --Outline the Risk Factors (and associated impact) of Retailers (including financial distress and channel throttling risk); --Outline the Risk Factors (and associated impact) of Wholesalers (including financial distress and channel throttling risk); --Outline the Risk Factors (and associated impact) for DTC; -Please present Gross Margins by SKU; --Outline calculation of COGS; --Outline pricing strategy (intertwine recent inflationary trends); -Please summarize Sales & Marketing strategy by sales channel: --Outline critical tasting room KPIs; --Integrate wine club development; --Integrate tasting fee maximization; --Integrate shipping cost minimization; -Please detail both GAAP Net Margins and "Cash Flow" Net Margins (including processes and procedures to mitigate recent inflationary trends). Good luck!!

Wine Industry Innovator | Specializing in Revenue Growth, Market Expansion, & Distributor Network Management
Data-Driven Decision Making: Optimizing Your Wine Portfolio for Market Demand In today's competitive wine industry, making informed, data-driven decisions is more crucial than ever. As suppliers, we often juggle a diverse portfolio of wines, each with its own story and appeal. However, not all varietals perform equally across different markets. The key to sustainable growth lies in optimizing our wine portfolio based on solid market data and consumer insights. Understanding Market Demand The first step in portfolio optimization is gaining a deep understanding of market demand. This involves analyzing sales data, consumer preferences, and emerging trends. Reading market research reports and consumer surveys and researching sales analytics offer valuable insights into what consumers are looking for and which varietals are gaining or losing popularity. Evaluating Portfolio Performance With a clearer picture of market demand, the next step is to evaluate the performance of our current portfolio. This means identifying high performers that align with consumer trends and underperformers that may be draining resources. It's not just about sales volume; profitability, brand alignment, and market positioning also play critical roles in this assessment. Making Data-Driven Decisions Armed with this information, we can make strategic decisions about our portfolio. This might include introducing new varietals that cater to emerging consumer preferences, expanding successful lines, or discontinuing those that no longer meet market demands. It's a continuous process of adaptation and refinement, ensuring our offerings remain relevant and desirable. Collaboration with Distributors Keep in mind that this process isn't a solo endeavor. Collaborating closely with our distributors, who possess their own wealth of market insights and consumer feedback, can significantly enhance our decision-making. Their on-the-ground experience can validate our data analyses and help tailor our portfolio to regional market needs. In the dynamic world of wine sales, staying ahead means staying informed. By leveraging market data and consumer insights, we can ensure our wine portfolio not only meets but anticipates market demand. It's a strategy that not only drives sales but also strengthens our brand's market presence and consumer loyalty. #DataDrivenWine #MarketInsights #PortfolioOptimization
