Coach + Leadership Guide to Impact Leaders & Entrepreneurs | Coaching | Facilitation | Retreats | Strategy
We give to what we care about. We give our — time. empathy. action. our focus. our love. On this day one day all days I reflect on many things. One being this — We don’t have a knowledge gap. We have a caring gap. Of we settlers actually cared about the harm — violent, greedy, intentional harm — that was done and continues to be done — we would do more than wear an orange shirt today and give thanks to Indigenous people for giving to us again and again. What do you care about? Does that care extend beyond your immediate circle? How? Why or why not? 🧡 may Indigenous people be safe. 🧡 may Indigenous people be free to be their whole selves. 🧡 may Indigenous people have great education and health care. 🧡 may Indigenous people be able to dream and live out those dreams. may we settlers take right action to make these possible.

Respecting the elderly is a fundamental principle deeply rooted in many cultures worldwide, serving as a cornerstone of societal values. Elders hold a treasure trove of wisdom, garnered through decades of experiences and lessons that only life can teach. They connect us with our past, having shaped the world we live in through their contributions and sacrifices. By showing respect and care, we not only honor their past efforts but also affirm their importance in today's fast-evolving society, ensuring they feel valued and included. Moreover, respecting our elders is also about recognizing their vulnerability and offering the necessary support as they navigate the challenges of aging. Simple gestures like listening to their stories, ensuring they have what they need, or spending quality time with them can significantly enhance their quality of life. These actions strengthen intergenerational bonds and foster a sense of community and continuity. Ultimately, how we treat our elders reflects on us as a society, and it sets a precedent for how we, too, will one day be treated. Embracing respect for the elderly enriches our lives with depth and compassion, reminding us of the cycle of life and our roles within it.

#BrentwoodSocialPrescribing After a period of recovery, I found myself back at our Holistic Hub today and I was truly touched by the turnout. Both familiar faces and newcomers gathered, seeking support and relaxation through conversation, a warm cup of tea and an hour of mindfulness. Witnessing the smiles on their faces, despite the challenges many face - ranging from cancer treatment to surviving strokes, battling dementia, or being caregivers- has reignited my commitment to providing even more support. At the heart of it #socialprescribing isn't about addressing medical needs; it's about fostering a sense of community and ensuring that no one feels isolated as they age. Today's gathering is a testament to that. Our Hub stands as a beacon of support and none of this would have been possible without the invaluable support of our stakeholders: Brentwood Borough Council, Mid and South Essex Integrated Care System, Provide Community, Active Essex,@BrentwoodPCN. In a world where medicalisation often takes centre stage, we mustn't forget the power of social connections and a sense of belonging. These elements aren't just additives; they are essential ingredients for both longevity and happiness. Let's continue to prioritise community and connection, for therein lies the the truth path to well-being. #holistichealth #publichealth #coproduction

[#Mamoribo] Often during meetings about improving the youthcare policy I suggest to call out for indigenous developmental workers. As they work from the vision of humane, natural & spiritual BEings. Europe has been unrooted and disconnected from a socially just, naturally sustainable and spiritually conscious indigenous culture. For many ages and generations. Resulting also in a youthcare system that causes disconnection. (1 in 7 children expierence youthcare) Made believe that this self destructive state is the natural identity of humanity, and with the false believe this is superior to the healthy indigenous way of life. Many times when I re-member them we are all indigenous to Mother Earth & Father Cosmos and make a reconnection with nature & spirit (to come back to Humane vision) it is answered with agression and duality. Attempts to intimidate, dominate, demonise, redicule, gaslight, etc and when that does not work emotional blackmail by playing the victim. In the field of youthcare the so called experts should be educated to recognise this narcistic behaviour. How ever most of them are stuck in the same false identity and self destructive vision. Facilitating or defending this behaviour and show similair spiritual illness. Hence youthcare policy is running the same trauma circle over and over again. To heal our youthcare, is to heal our vision, is to re-member ourselves to the social, natural and spiritual communities we are part of. To reconnect with our ancestors that still envisioned a healthy indigenous way of life!
