🎥 Yesterday I had the opportunity to watch the livestream of the presentation of the first full-scale demonstrator by Heart Aerospace. ✈ It was very impressive to see the progress and the consistency with which the Heart Aerospace team is driving forward the development and certification of the ES-30. With the planned type certification in 2028, another piece of the puzzle towards the #decarbonization of aviation would be reached in the 2020s - and that with an electric-based propulsion technology. The commitment of investors and the support of well-known industry partners, airlines and airports worldwide shows that a lot is obviously being done right. 👍 🏭 For us at Ingenics Consulting, the first insights into the Heart Pilot Factory concept, with a fully verticalized E2E manufacturing approach, were also particularly interesting. This electric commuter/regional aircraft is in my opinion, “the one” to watch. With a 32-meter wingspan, the demonstrator, named Heart Experimental 1 (X1), will serve as the first platform for testing and development Heart’s ES-30 aircraft. The X1 is scheduled to undertake a fully electric first flight in the 2Q2025. Heart’s next step in developing the ES-30 is the building of a pre-production prototype, the Heart X2, which will further mature the design and production methods based on lessons learned from the Heart X1. The Heart X2 will be a refined X1 and is scheduled for a hybrid -electric flight in 2026 and will demonstrate the the gas turbine turboprop engines which will be certified for SAF, and be installed in the outbd nacelles. The third aircraft produced will be the first production Heart ES30 which is the name of the yet to be certified 30 pax aircraft. As battery power density improves, the range of this aircraft during its production life (2030-2050 plus) will increase multiple times from the conservative 200 km electric only range planned for the initial production run.

We would need such planes to restart domestic operations in Ukraine and international regional services. Ukraine can hardly build a hub while russia exists as the evil empire nearby. Therefore, we need to plan steps that address point-to-point at low cost with low volume for at least the first 3-5 years of recovery after the war.

✈️ London - NY ... 1h ? Venus Aerospace is working on a hypersonic jet concept they call "Stargazer". It aims to enable a journey from London to New York in just one hour. The aircraft, which combines jet and rocket engines, is designed to reach speeds of Mach 9 and has already achieved supersonic speeds with its prototype. Thanks a lot Dan. Dramatic! Of course Space X had some similar early failures, they call if learning by trying! Currently only China and US have reusable spacecraft. ⏯ China plans to launch a reusable rockets in 2025 and 2026 to prepare for lunar human missions by 2030. I understand: ☑ India's Space Research Org plans to launch a 'Orbital Re-entry Vehicle' within 2 years to test a fully operational reusable launch system. ☑ Europe's Airbus SE-Safran SA joint venture Ariane Group is developing reusable spacecraft ☑ Japan's Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Ltd. is als working on reusable spacecraft.  ☑ Russia: (a) Argo reusable cargo spacecraft is being developed by Reusable Space Transport Systems (MTKS), a private company (b) planning to go partially reusable in 2026 with a new Amur rocket similar to Falcon 9 Does anyone know of other country re-usable spacecraft development plans? #reusablespacecraft #spacecraft #reusablelaunchsystem
