Veterinary Doctor | Content Writer | Empowering Veterinarians to Enhance Client Engagement and Drive Growth Through Strategic Email Marketing | Personal Branding Specialist for Building Trust and Authority
"𝕋𝕙𝕖 𝕧𝕖𝕥𝕖𝕣𝕚𝕟𝕒𝕣𝕪 𝕡𝕣𝕠𝕗𝕖𝕤𝕤𝕚𝕠𝕟 𝕚𝕤 𝕒 𝕣𝕠𝕕 𝕠𝕗 𝕄𝕠𝕤𝕖𝕤 𝕔𝕒𝕡𝕒𝕓𝕝𝕖 𝕠𝕗 𝕥𝕦𝕣𝕟𝕚𝕟𝕘 𝕚𝕟𝕥𝕠 𝕨𝕙𝕒𝕥 𝕪𝕠𝕦 𝕕𝕖𝕤𝕚𝕣𝕖." This was a striking statement one of our professors made during our send-forth in fellowship. As a young veterinarian, buzzing with enthusiasm and excitement, ready to go dominate territories with the practical knowledge, insights, and experience I've gained during my school days... I clung to the word, along with so many promises the community and the whole world have to offer a veterinarian. On getting out of the four walls of the school, the picture turned out to be different from what they'd painted. I realized you have to hustle hard and struggle to: 📌 Let people know you are a veterinarian 📌 Relate with people and find clients yourself 📌 Provide excellent and trustworthy service 📌 Build credibility through a well-established brand Things turned out to be a bit sour, and I knew I had to double up and expose myself more to people and the environment. I decided to: 📍 Proceed with my internship position 📍 Source for clients myself by selling myself... 📍 And letting people know I am a Vet Doctor 📍 Building a brand both online and offline 📍 Writing about what I do. I've been pursuing this with determination, alacrity, and persistence. With the mindset that nothing comes easy, fueled by the striking words of our professors. As a young veterinarian, it's never easy to start on your own or build a brand quickly. It's a process you must subject yourself to, following through with: ☑️ Passion for greatness ☑️ Determination to be an excellent service provider ☑️ Flair for updated insights and knowledge. ☑️ Persistence It's not going to be easy, but just think about the fact that you have a lot to offer: 📌 Your immediate community 📌 Animal owners and enthusiasts 📌 Your state and country 📌 The whole world at large You can never be at a loss or idle as a Veterinary Doctor, just look inside of you and bring out the beauty in the profession by providing excellent and credible service to people and animals. Hope you got value. kindly share with me in the comment section what you picked from this content. We can add to this issue because it’s not just about pay. It’s about limited work/life balance with little PTO offered, poor benefit packages that limit CE(which enhances your practice and keeps everyone current) and the mindset that the teams stay segregated to stay in their lane of what they are responsible for. Yes, there are clear responsibilities but everyone working on a case works as a team and everyone is invested. Poor management skills particularly with people who have zero background in veterinary medicine and don’t understand the particular stressors veterinary workers deal with daily only adds to the never ending weight. Every corporate owned practice can do better. Every private owned practice can do better. We all can do better.

A great, short read highlighting the current struggles of the veterinary professional community and the potential impacts if people continue to leave the field at the current rate. If you thought it was difficult to find timely veterinary care now, it is only going to get harder. Unless a major shift occurs within the profession as well as the communities in which we live and work, this will continue to be an ongoing problem. #nomv #veterinarymedicine #emergencyveterinarymedicine #veterinarytechnicians #futurelvt
