Physical Therapist & Hormone Health Coach committed to helping women gain muscle & confidence during peri-menopause; Wellness entrepreneur for global health company focused on clean & safe products for skin and home
Happy Heart Month! Heart disease is STILL the #1 cause of death in American women. As we enter peri/menopause, our estrogen levels decline and so do the protective benefits. There is more good news coming in about the heart health benefits of HRT, cited in this article. Excited more women are starting to know and understand the benefits of supplementing with hormones to protect their heart, bones and brains (among other things!). "Reevaluating Estrogen: Contrary to previous misconceptions, estrogen emerges as a pivotal ally in maintaining heart health. Finlay dispelled myths surrounding estrogen’s role, citing compelling evidence from landmark studies. The Post-Menopausal Estrogen/Progestin Intervention trial (PEPI) demonstrated a remarkable 50% reduction in the risk of coronary events among women receiving post-menopausal estrogen therapy. Similarly, findings from the Nurses’ Health Study underscored estrogen’s protective effects, revealing a significant decrease in the development of cardiovascular disease." https://lnkd.in/dACxQ6-J

Check out the latest Fortitude Fertility Consulting Blog post!
Happy Heart Health Awareness Month! An interesting study was published last month that demonstrated that for women with a history of infertility they can have an increased risk of developing heart disease in the future. This is important for two reasons: 1) Women need to be aware that this is important information to share with their primary care provider. I know that discussing your infertility journey and sharing your story can be challenging, but it is important! Your healthcare provider needs to know all the risk factors that could increase your risk of heart disease. Knowing this information can help them come up with a plan to help minimize your risk for the future. 2) There are things women (and men!) can do now to help decrease the risk of heart disease in the future. Be sure to check out my latest blog post below ⬇️ to gain clarity on this important topic! https://lnkd.in/g7W2Qdjh

Heart attacks are often misunderstood. While chest pain is common, it doesn’t always signal a heart attack, and not all heart attacks come with chest pain. 🚩 Red Flags for Heart Attacks: Discomfort in the arms, neck, back, or jaw. Difficulty in breathing, along with sweating, nausea, or lightheadedness. 🚨 Conditions that Mimic Heart Pain: GERD, esophageal issues, lung conditions, and musculoskeletal problems. Early detection is key. If you or someone you know experiences sudden or unexplained symptoms, seek medical help immediately. The first few hours can make a significant difference! 👉 For a comprehensive guide on recognising heart attack symptoms and understanding related conditions, check out our latest blog! https://lnkd.in/gjp2fB4w #PeerlessHospital #HeartHealth #KnowTheSigns #HeartAttackAwareness #MedicalHelp #StayHealthy #CardiacCare
