Let's not forget the other benefits Quanser is offering with their High-Performance Autonomous Ground Robots. Ditch the pet which includes costs associated with care... huge veterinarian bills, food (not including treats), clean-up costs, lost socks, grooming and continuous lost time to manage the family pet. The Quanser alternative allows flexibility to future educational growth that allows monetary value growth back into the bank. Win-Win, if you can program the Qbot to bring back the newspaper.
Sometimes #robots don't always like one another... it's a good thing that an autonomous intelligent system like the @quanser QBot has obstacle avoidance enabled where it cannot hurt another robot! The robot dog however probably didn't know of this algorithm and was overly sensitive to this interaction ;) * No robots were harmed in the filming of this video. #autonomousintelligentsystems

Neya's Virtual Integration and Simulation Environment (VISE) provides robust virtual environments for stress testing autonomous systems. By testing and validating our autonomous systems in realistic synthetic environments, we can increase the time we spend running our software while decreasing the time we spend on the real vehicle. VISE is optimized for the integration and testing of autonomous systems, enabling us to run thousands of faster-than-real time tests with provably accurate physics responses and high-fidelity sensor models. From clearing path obstructions to generating large-scale missions across hundreds of assets, VISE can ensure that your autonomous system is deployment ready -- anytime, anywhere. Recent advances in LLM and VLM are making it possible to build human-like visual and audio perception, along with language skills, for robots. Tomorrow, at GRIT-X, our students will demonstrate the significant progress they’ve made in developing human-like visual perception in robots and explore its potential use in disaster recovery, where it would be too dangerous for humans to enter.
Join us tomorrow!! at GRIT-X this year for an exciting showcase of our autonomous systems. Witness live demonstration of our robots and AI in action. Be there to explore how these innovations are transforming safety and efficiency in critical scenarios. Where: UMBC's Fine Arts Recital Hall When: October 24, from 4 to 6 p.m. #UMBC #CARDS #GRITX #2024 #Innovation #Research #RealTimeSensing #Autonomy #robotics #EdgeAI #Research #AIInnovation #GestureNavigation #detection #objecttracking
