PILO NSM - Drop-In Program Reminder Embarking on the journey of healing after a pregnancy or infant loss can be an isolating and emotionally challenging experience. In such times, a pregnancy loss support group can serve as a beacon of understanding, empathy, and solace. The following points reflect how these support groups are crucial in helping individuals and families navigate the complex landscape of grief. Support Groups Provide: 1. One in five pregnant people in the U.S. struggles with mental illness during pregnancy and/or postpartum, and the impact can last for generations. The Star Tribune published another article this morning focused on how Minnesota addresses the needs of parents with substance use addiction. Specifically, the article covers prenatal substance use, mandated reporting laws and implementation, family treatment programs, and home-visitng.
