✅ We invite our colleagues and partners to check out the results of the 5th study on the level of provision of healthcare institutions and the needs of patients Barometer. How can you ensure that your projects and initiatives to support others actually benefit the end stakeholders? For ZDOROVI there has always been one answer: making decisions based on research and verifying the results through monitoring. This is how the idea of the Barometer study was once born, in which we conduct surveys throughout Ukraine, engaging those who know the situation on the ground best: people responsible for the work of hospitals. This year we have expanded the questionnaire and added additional thematic sections of questions. The situation in Ukraine is developing dynamically, and in order to help build New Medicine, a system in which every patient receives decent medical care, we must also upgrade our projects. The research results are available in two languages on our website. 📌 In English: https://shorturl.at/rpgvT 📌 In Ukrainian: https://shorturl.at/1BhJX

Just two months ago, 59-year-old Cheng Peiming, the first known survivor of forced organ harvesting in China, spoke out his first-hand account of the crime in Washington DC. He was forcibly taken to hospital for partial organ removal without consent, and escaped hospital and out of China, and eventually to the US. (https://lnkd.in/eBx2ngeH) Falun Gong (or Falun Dafa) is a peaceful spiritual practice that teaches people to improve moral character based on moral tenets of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Tolerance, and quickly became popular in China in the 1990s. However, seeing the practice gaining popularity rapidly, then Chinese Communist leader Jiang Zemin issued single-handedly a persecution on the practice in 1999. After 3 months of futile repression, he realized more public opinion should be mobilized and start launching a systematic campaign to dehumanize and defame the practice and its leader Mr. Li Hongzhi. Government media reports about practitioners being danger to society and country appear on a daily basis and was broadcasted in English to the international community. The history of human atrocities has a prevalent pattern: First is to frame a group as unworthy of human rights, and then any bad things happening on them would not be reported, or else be disregarded by the public. This was what happened in this case. The first international report on forced organ harvesting was published in 2006 by Canadian human rights lawyer David Matas, yet mainstream media failed to report it, and was even painted unfavorable colors to the victim group as the PRC exerts large influence to overseas media not to report on the crime. In 2017, the Uyghur community began to speak out forced organ harvesting has begun happening in Xinjiang. Had the international community took notice earlier on Falun Gong's case, this would not have happened. The teachings of Falun Gong believe that moral actions have moral consequences, and so although the crimes done by CCP police and military system is horrible, practitioners believe what will come after the perpetrators will be more horrifying. They expose the crime not out of hate or retaliation, but to stop the perpetrators from doing harm to themselves. Just like in a class, it is everyone's interest to stop a bully. Those who unknowingly complicit to the crime should have the right to know, and the opportunity to make an informed choice for themselves on this ongoing crime. This June, the US Congress passed by bipartisan vote for H.R.4132 - Falun Gong Protection Act, in hopes to ban perpetrators of this crime to come to the United States. The Bill is now introduced to the Senate. If you find the above information helpful and want to help with the progress, please call or email your State's Senators saying "As a constituent of your State, I strongly urge you to please help support the H.R.4132 - Falun Gong Protection Act." All the best, David
