Seems like most graduating dentists seek mentorship but have trouble finding one, including myself. A lot of times, the principal dentist says they’ll be available but when it comes time to, they couldn’t be bothered or are too busy. In my episode with @doctor.avi he shares that mentorship is not a given in dentistry. It’s a rarity. But to find true mentorship you need to do two things: 1. Ask for it 2. Be clear about what kind of mentorship you’re looking for Just be outright when asking. What do you want them to help you with? Is it clinical dentistry? Do you want them to look over your work? Is it to look at your crowns? Or implants? Do you want them to be by your side during an insertion? Or is it to guide you through your career? Does that mean regular monthly checkins? Make your expectations clear because like any relationship, you have to see if you’re the right fit for each other. And if you’re not, that’s ok too. ⚡️KB Half Kneel Ankle Dorsiflexion Mobility ☑️WHAT: An easy way to increase your ankle joint mobility specific to dorsiflexion (i.e., when your foot and toes point up). ☑️WHY: Increasing your overall ankle joint mobility is one of those areas that we tend to forget about in training, because it’s boring, takes up time and doesn’t seem like it provides values. However, it makes a MASSIVE impact in the long run for how well our lower body operates from a health, function and performance standpoint. ☑️WHEN: The most logical place to add this in would be in your warm-up to open up a neurological window of greater range of motion prior to loading in those newly acquired ranges.
