There are always skeptics! Teens are the best of them! Mei was one of a few who thought ‘’what is the point of this Miss Nathalie?’’ I got alot of eye rolling (LOL!) and she did not see the value in what was being offered. But, in her own words "that all changed!". Public speaking & presenting used to make her so nervous, she would stutter and mix up her words and couldn't memorize what to say. YOUR RIGHT NOT TO KNOW EVERYTHING When presenting, it is customary to set aside time for Q&A. How do you decide if you should answer the question at all? Answer if it is useful for the client/group, that is, if the question is related to the main reason why you are performing. My workshops exist for people to improve their public speaking. If one of the students asks me how some actors imitate so well, I choose not to answer because I consider it a waste of time. Then, there are questions that have no simple answers. Here's what you can do: 1. Welcome the tough questions 2. Ask the volunteers 3. There is no single answer, there is a spectrum 4. Offer a response within an appropriate timeframe 5. Redirect difficult questions to the next part of the presentation I know that on this platform I interact with brilliant people like myself.
