Here's a thought for media companies in light of the tsunami of AI-generated content and the predictable negative aftermath: 1. Create a "good housekeeping seal" of approval, pledge, commitment (whatever works), and place on every single piece of content that is original and generated by a human being (aka your editorial team) 2. Start showcasing your human editorial team as rockstars 3. Monetize the heck out of it Content generated by humans - and being able to verify that humans generated it - is going to become an even more valuable asset as consumers get sick of being fed shallow content that they know is not generated by a human. Google will have to give that content prominence since they are dealing with their own backlash with people conducting search results with "REDDIT" at the end to reveal content generated by humans, not bots. Personally, I would 1) pay for content that was critical for me to do my job knowing it was verified as human-created and/or 2) become a very loyal audience member to media entities that commit to this.
