It proposed steps in three areas: Reduced consumption: reducing food waste, promoting dietary shifts towards mostly plant-based foods. Reducing the number of consumers: further reducing fertility rates and thus population growth. Technology and nature conservation: there are several related approaches. One is to maintain nature's ecosystem services. Another is promote new green technologies. Another is changing our energy use. One aspect of this is to adopt renewable energy sources. At the same time it is necessary to end subsidies to #energy production through fossil fuels. The world's population is growing steadily. According to the United Nations, the world's population will grow to 9.7 billion in 2050. By 2100, nearly 11 billion people could live on Earth. This rapid population growth is accompanied by an increased degree of urbanization. While around 55% of the world's population lived in urban areas in 2018, this proportion will rise to around 68% by 2050. Cities, therefore, face incredible problems such as environmental degradation and pollution, urban immobility, and increased energy demand. Given this, cities must look for sustainable and smart solutions to address these problems. Smart cities, sustainability, and energy are connected concepts. They have an integrated approach to promoting the population's sustainability and quality of life. To achieve the goals of the Paris Climate Agreement to become climate-neutral by 2050, greenhouse gases must be drastically reduced. This requires a strong energy infrastructure with which large quantities of renewable energy can be reliably supplied. One way to achieve this is to revolutionize energy systems so that only sustainable and renewable energy is generated. Energy conversion programs, which are gradually transitioning from fossil fuels to renewable energy sources, are not enough on their own. The necessary tool to introduce renewable energy has long been available due to the technology. We live in times of the beginning of a technological revolution based on green solutions 🟢 We already have sufficient knowledge about modern, more ecological technologies, and we already have these solutions. However, the problem is their worldwide distribution and joint actions of states. One of the best ways to address climate change today is to decide what set of clean technologies could move our global economy and societies towards a sustainable lifestyle as quickly as possible. It's important to do it in an affordable way so that everyone can contribute - private citizens and government bodies. Privately, we should educate ourselves about saving energy, not producing large amounts of waste, ecological and energy-saving solutions for our homes and vehicles, and not wasting food. Countries and enterprises should stand above divisions and jointly invest in green energy such as photovoltaic or wind farms. These solutions should be introduced in all countries. This seems difficult to achieve, but fortunately, more and more governments and companies realize the importance of the topic.
