Most people who do not own boats are unaware that highly toxic marine flares must be on all ships and expire every three years. Flares burn at extremely high temperatures and can set boats on fire if dropped. Reusable electronic signals are the safer, more economical, and less toxic alternative. My team and I have been working to bring awareness to this issue for many years because of our concern that there was no way for boaters to easily, safely, or affordably dispose of these flares every three years, so many threw them in the ocean or lake the boat is in. Flares often contain perchlorate, a toxic chemical that pollutes water. If we sell products to the public, they must have a proper end-of-life plan, and we will soon address this in California. Stay tuned! #circulareconomy #EPR #reuse #recycle #boatinglife #protectourplanet Sirius Signal
