Dr. Mpofu, an alumnus of the University of the Witwatersrand, currently serves as the CIO at his alma mater. With a 29-year career, he is a disciplined, influential, and visionary IT executive known for his ethical leadership and exceptional delivery. His expertise has been proven in challenging environments at Eskom Enterprises and Wits University. Dr. Mpofu has successfully implemented an R500m network upgrade project at Wits University and developed a comprehensive digital strategy, including cloud, cyber, and mobile initiatives, culminating in the innovative smart classroom project.
