This is easy. Just morph the acronym. Geospatial Information Services. Also, I totally agree with the argument. Let's stop thinking that because someone uses one program or application and not another that they are somehow "underqualified." It is like two carpenters arguing over who has the better framing hammer or two office workers arguing Apple vs Windows. Most importantly, any attempt to quantify the tools, skills or positions into verticals is likely the product of a marketing strategy. Real intelligence is holistic.
