In the geo-industry, we are are facing huge challenges in adapting to climate change and the transition to greener energy-sources, but this also presents us with an opportunity to tackle these challenges together. Sharing data and working collaboratively isn't just a good idea; it is the most practical way to innovate and find better solutions. It’s not always about big gestures, but rather the simple act of combining our knowledge, experiences, and data 🤝 . Yes, there are hurdles like data privacy and protecting our own hard-earned insights, but these are not hurdles we can't overcome. With a bit of goodwill and smart thinking, we can find ways to share data that benefit everyone involved, respecting both our need for security, ownership and our common goals. With Field Manager we solve a small, but important piece of the puzzle. We organize your geotechnical data and make it easily accessible and useful. Join us in making data sharing and collaboration an everyday reality. Let’s make it happen 💯 ! #fieldmanager #NGI #NGIDIGITAL #datamanagement #geodata #geotechnics #geotechnical Mats Kahlström Truls Martens Kristin Paulsen Kristoffer Skau https://lnkd.in/dFSytkny

Commencing a 30-day SQL Challenge! Day 27/30. ✨ 🔍 🚀 #30DaysSQLChallenge #Day27 #StrataScratch #DataAnalyst 🔍 ➡ Problem: -- Find the average total compensation based on employee titles and gender. Total compensation is calculated by adding both the salary and bonus of each employee. However, not every employee receives a bonus so disregard employees without bonuses in your calculation. Employee can receive more than one bonus. Output the employee title, gender (i.e., sex), along with the average total compensation. ➡Solution: WITH bonus AS ( SELECT worker_ref_id , SUM(bonus) AS ttf_bonus FROM sf_bonus GROUP BY worker_ref_id ) ,Total_avg AS ( SELECT e.employee_title,e.sex, AVG(e.salary + b.ttf_bonus) AS average_total_compensation FROM sf_employee AS e INNER JOIN bonus AS b ON e.id = b.worker_ref_id GROUP BY e.employee_title, e.sex ) SELECT * FROM Total_avg; ; ➡ Explanation: 🔸 The first CTE, bonus, calculates the total bonuses (ttf_bonus) for each employee by summing their bonuses from the sf_bonus table, grouped by worker_ref_id. 🔸The second CTE, Total_avg, computes the average total compensation for employees by adding their salary from the sf_employee table to their respective total bonuses (from the bonus CTE). It groups the results by employee_title and sex. 🔸Finally, the main SELECT statement retrieves all columns from the Total_avg CTE, providing the average total compensation for each combination of employee title and gender, but only for those who received bonuses. ➡Question Link:- https://lnkd.in/d8vE6Emi ➡ Feel Free to ask any query in Comments or DM. #30DaySQLQueryChallenge #30daysofcode #Dataengine #DailyLearner #data #Leetcode #SQLskills #awsdataenging #sqldeveloper #pythonprogramming #dataengineering #remoteworkers #SQL #businessanaly #sqlchallenge #hiring #hire #datasciene #SQL #SQLDeveloper

Here are 5 quirky things that set GIS apart from other industries: 𝟭. 𝗙𝗶𝗲𝗹𝗱𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝘃𝘀. 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸. Out in the field: dirt, sweat, and finicky equipment. Back in the office: coffee, cubicles, and finicky software. Pick your poison. 𝟮. 𝗠𝗲𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗝𝗼𝗯 𝗧𝗶𝘁𝗹𝗲𝘀. We’ll call you a ‘GIS Specialist’ but expect you to also be a database administrator, programmer, and psychic. 𝟯. 𝗗𝗮𝘁𝗮 𝗖𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗻𝘂𝗽 𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗹 𝗝𝗼𝗯. GIS stands for "Getting It Sorted"… or so it seems most days. 𝟰. “𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝗛𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗖𝗮𝗻 𝗜𝘁 𝗕𝗲?” Oh, the sweet summer children who don’t realize that their 10-minute map request includes a 10-hour geoprocessing odyssey. 𝟱. 𝗧𝗮𝗹𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝘂𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀. Much of the time GIS folks are having a heartfelt conversation with our monitor, begging it to just georeference the plat correctly this one time.
