A while ago, I was the chief architect for the judo venue at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, held at the Nippon Budokan. I thought it was very important to beautifully record this big renovation project in Japan. I worked with famous photographers and the Nippon Budokan staff to do this, and we succeeded in preserving it. What's more, these photos won an award overseas. Why did I think we needed to preserve this? The Nippon Budokan was built for the 1964 Tokyo Olympics as a judo venue. It is the first building used twice for the same sport in the Olympics. It was built in just ten months, which was very quick. Even with today's technology, it's impossible to do the same work in such a short time. But when we were planning to renovate it, we needed to look into the old designs and construction. While researching, I found out how much the people back then cared about us, the future generations, as they built it. They wanted to pass on the spirit of martial arts and peace to the future. When designing a luxury villa, the swimming pool can have a profound effect on the overall experience. In my opinion, an infinity pool can take the experience to the next level. Take the villa in this video, for example. We’ve positioned the infinity pool in such a way that our guests can enjoy a breathtaking, seamless view of the beach and the spectacular sunsets while they relax in the water. It's a relatively simple design choice that can have a significant impact. Of course, this is just one of many thoughtful details that go into creating the perfect luxury villa. It serves as a poignant reminder of the value of considering every element, no matter how seemingly minor, in the pursuit of creating truly exceptional living spaces.
