On our latest podcast Rachel Fellowes speaks to Sarah Cunningham of the World Wellbeing Movement about the business case behind investing in your employee wellbeing. Sarah explains how to measure employee wellbeing and how improving this translate to business performance... 📈 - Use 4 key dimensions of wellbeing to understand how people are feeling (job satisfaction, happiness at work, stress at work and sense of purpose) - These dimensions combined provide a holistic view of how people are feeling about the work they do. - Combine this with why people feel this way using 'drivers'. There many of these and include; drivers such as pay, working conditions, support from your manager, sense of inclusion and belonging, work you do is energising, have flexibility, trust.. - This allows an employer to slice and dice how different drivers impact different groups of people and can therefore use targeted interventions to drive change. And this is the reason why you would want to do this... - A study with BT found the first causal evidence that a happier employee is a more productive employee. For a 1 point increase in happiness on a scale of 1 to 10 reflected in a 12% increase in productivity.
