Persistent systemic and institutional barriers deter most Spanish-speaking people from getting the mental health care they need. Only 35% of Latino/x adults in the US with mental illness get care, according to the National Alliance on Mental Illness. Sanarai is working to change that by connecting the Latino/x community to mental health professionals in Latin America and the US for culturally sensitive, Spanish-language emotional support and counseling at affordable prices. We are proud to invest in Sanarai and its mission. Adelante. #mentalhealth #mentalhealthmatters #saludmental #mentalhealthawareness

96% of U.S. public schools offer mental health services to their students. But homeschooled children have no guaranteed access to services like these, which puts them at unique risk for negative outcomes. We believe homeschooled children have the right to mental health care. Sign the Bill of Rights for Homeschooled Children if you agree. https://bit.ly/3Qhg6WM #Homeschool #Homeschooling #MentalHealth #WorldTeenMentalWellnessDay

Looking forward to our Attendance Summit this Friday ⬇️ What do schools need now? We need a government that listens to, helps and supports school staff. We need policymakers who recognise and appreciate the incredible work that is done every day by schools across the country to transform the lives of children, families and communities. We need a child poverty strategy that eradicates destitution and lifts families out of deep poverty, so that schools can focus more on learning and less on feeding hungry children. We need a more joined up system that promotes and facilitates collaboration and partnership. We need more opportunities to learn from each other, to share good practice and implement innovative approaches.
Final preparations are underway for our Attendance Summit this Friday 5 July at Mulberry Academy Shoreditch. This *free* half day conference is jointly convened by Reconnect London and Mulberry Schools Trust. We will hear from headteachers and educational leaders about how they are working to improve pupil attendance with a focus on: - Inclusive practice - Effective use of data - Partnerships between schools and local authorities - Working with parents and carers - The importance of mental health support 🎟️ Limited FREE tickets available online 🔗 https://lnkd.in/ebhkCZbh
