I love Supporting other Small Businesses - especially those that build things I love I am by no means a machinist or a gunsmith, but I do love building things and putting things together When I was first introduced to 80 Percent Arms, Inc., I knew that I had to try out their products... Not only are they a Small Business building things I love, they are located right here in Ft Worth Texas (this can get expensive if I don't watch out...) They make these lowers but I wanted one a little different than what they had - I wanted one in this color with the Texas logo engraved in it This is one reason why dealing with other Small Businesses is great - they don't just offer a "cookie cutter" product but will work with you (within reason) to help you get what you want I am super excited about this build as it will be truly unique and I get to design it how I want (to include the color and engraving...) If you like to build things and like this industry - I would highly encourage you to reach out to the team at 80 Percent Arms, Inc. - they are friendly and helpful (although they did upsell me on a hoodie - it wasn't a hard sell...) I'm already looking forward to my next build and I haven't even started this one yet... We thought we’d get to know your Work Gear team. There’s no better person to start with, and that’s Sophie, your dedicated account handler. So, we posed a number of questions to get to know her better. 𝗧𝗮𝗹𝗸 𝘂𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗮𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗶𝘀 𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗲, 𝗦𝗼𝗽𝗵𝗶𝗲? No two days are the same - that’s for sure. At Redhill Manufacturing Ltd, I wear many hats, but I predominantly look after onboarding and nurturing our valued distributors. From December to March at Work Gear, we focus on generating our Catalogue and adding new products. Between April and July, we deliver catalogues to distributors and conduct site demos for prospective clients. We meet regularly with suppliers and distributors, and I run Factory Tours, and focus on business growth year round. 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗱𝗼 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗲𝗻𝗷𝗼𝘆 𝗺𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗿𝗼𝗹𝗲? I’m so proud of the package we have created, at such a great price. Knowing that our packages can transform businesses and even lives is really motivating. This makes all the hard work feel rewarding. I love the fact that we help businesses expand into new markets and grow their sales. 𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝘄𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗱𝗲𝘀𝗰𝗿𝗶𝗯𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗳 𝗮𝘀 𝗮𝗻 𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗱𝘂𝗮𝗹? I always try to look on the bright side, that’s for sure! Repair Shop Of Tomorrow, which provides coaching and marketing designed for shop owners, is partnering with Promotive, a full-service staffing agency specializing in the automotive repair sector. Promotive’s mission is to simplify the task of recruiting by matching top-tier employees with industry-leading repair shops. The goal is to take the hassle out of staffing, allowing auto repair businesses to focus on what they do best. Joelle Pollak and Lisa Coyle founded Promotive in 2023. “Our purpose at Promotive extends beyond recruiting, it’s helping automotive professionals find opportunities at great shops,” Pollak said. “When they are treated well and appreciated for the value that they provide, they are more likely to stay at that job longer, which increases retention. And, they will encourage others to consider careers in automotive, which helps solve our industry’s technician shortage.” Pollak added that this focus, paired with Repair Shop of Tomorrow’s training initiatives, is a natural fit.
