As a business owner and mother to a child with autism, I've learned that our greatest challenges often lead to our most innovative solutions. Meet George, my incredible 3-year-old son. His journey with autism and our experiences navigating the NDIS have profoundly shaped both my personal life and my professional approach at Bloom Creative and Events Agency. Through George, I've gained invaluable insights into creating truly inclusive spaces. This understanding has become a cornerstone of our event philosophy at Bloom Creative. * We design sensory-friendly environments * Implement visual communication tools * Ensure physical accessibility * Train staff on inclusive practices Did you know? Over 500,000 Australians are supported by the NDIS. That's a significant portion of our community that deserves equal access to events and experiences. As business leaders, we have a unique opportunity - and responsibility - to create spaces where everyone feels welcome. Inclusive events aren't just the right thing to do; they're good for business, expanding your reach and demonstrating social responsibility. At Bloom Creative, we're committed to helping businesses in East Gippsland and beyond create events that resonate with all attendees, regardless of their abilities. Have you considered how to make your business event more inclusive? I'd love to hear your thoughts and experiences. Let's connect if you're interested in discussing how we can make your next event a truly inclusive experience. #InclusiveBusinesses #NDISAwareness #EventPlanning #Accessibility #EastGippdland #ProfessionalDevelopment

We are edging ever closer to International Day of People with Disability on the 3rd of December and I have availability over November and December if you would like to book me to come and speak at your business, organisation or school. For those that don't know me, my name is Liz and I am a Paralympic medalist, world record holder, and ABC Sport reporter who is known for warmth, storytelling and ability to create a safe space for discussing all things disability. I have been a speaker for over ten years now, having worked with some big global clients, including Twitter (before it became X), Kerry Foods, Reckitt Benkiser, HCF, and EA Games. In fact, EA Games had this to say about my work with them: "It went REALLY well this morning/afternoon... We've learnt so much, and feel extremely challenged in a really good way." My key talk and most popular one is about disability allyship - teaching you about what disability is, and how to be a great ally for those in your workplace, school and community. Or if you are looking for something a little more motivational I have my Paralympic journey story which is filled with the ups and downs of life and lessons you learn as an elite athlete. I am also more than happy to do in-person as well as online events. If you would like to have a chat about booking pop me a dm, or email me at elizabeth@elizabethwright.net or reach out to Marian M. and/or Saxton Group who are my speaker agent. And while you're here, why not check out my TEDx talk from several years ago - one of my favourite things I have ever done. #Speaker #Emcee #Disability #IDPWD #Leadership #Resilience #WomenEmpowerment #DisabilityAwareness #Allyship #Keynote

𝐅𝐨𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐬𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐁𝐞𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐢𝐨𝐫 𝐢𝐧 𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐫𝐞𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐓𝐞𝐞𝐧𝐬 𝘈 𝘙𝘰𝘢𝘥𝘮𝘢𝘱 𝘵𝘰 𝘊𝘰𝘮𝘱𝘢𝘴𝘴𝘪𝘰𝘯 Encouraging prosocial behavior in our youth is crucial for building a compassionate society. When children and teens understand the importance of helping others, they grow into empathetic and responsible adults. But how do we instill these values effectively? 𝐌𝐨𝐝𝐞𝐥 𝐊𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬: Children learn by observing. Show them how to be kind by treating others with respect and empathy in your daily life. 🤝 Praise Positive Actions: Reinforce good behavior by acknowledging and praising 𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬. This boosts their self-esteem and encourages repetition. 👏 𝐂𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐎𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐇𝐞𝐥𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐠: Involve them in activities like community service or helping a neighbor. These experiences teach the joy of giving. 🛠️ 𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐜𝐮𝐬𝐬 𝐄𝐦𝐨𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬: Help them understand the feelings of others by discussing emotions openly. This fosters empathy and deeper connections. 💬 Are we, as adults, doing enough to model and encourage these behaviors? Let’s challenge ourselves to guide our children towards a more caring world. #ProsocialBehavior #Parenting #YouthDevelopment #Empathy #PositiveParenting #MentalHealth
