In the U.S. alone, an estimated $84 trillion is forecasted to be transferred between generations over the next 20 years. This shift will make the Millennials the wealthiest generation in American history, according to JP Morgan and Forbes. Unlike their parents, younger generations are more digital and will have completely different requirements for their wealth managers. According to Inside Wealth, CNBC, over three-quarters of the ultra-wealthy plan to switch their primary wealth management firm by 2024. From my experience in weekly conversations with family offices and HNWIs, the best way to meet the needs of the coming generations in wealth management is to be adaptable and truly understand the client's needs. A wealth manager who is negative about cryptocurrency and blockchain technology and lacks the infrastructure to handle tokenized assets and on-chain transactions will never survive the coming decades. #wealthmanagment

📊According to the Federal Reserve survey, in 2023, 18 million Americans (7% of the population) used or owned cryptocurrencies. This figure has been declining since 2021—back then, 12% of respondents reported interacting with digital assets, and a year later, it was 8%. Nevertheless, the percentage is still significant, and the sudden positive shift in regulation in the US clearly aims to gather support from cryptocurrency enthusiasts, mainly millennials and zoomers. There are so many data points you can extrapolate to realize we are on the precipice of a generational shift in financial markets. "For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also," Matthew 6:21 and Luke 12:34. According to a January 2024 Security.org report, younger age groups are more likely to own cryptocurrency than older age groups. In 2021, Triple-A reported that 94% of cryptocurrency buyers were under the age of 40, and in March 2024, The Motley Fool reported that 43% of millennials owned cryptocurrency compared to 22% of Gen Z (don't worry, they are starting to earn now). This is where their heart is... Millennials and Gen Z want to own a piece of the future. They want an opportunity like that presented to the Boomers during .com. They want to interact, transact, and build wealth in new ways. And they see it in #Web3 and tokenization. They see it in #bitcoin and other digital commodities. And, there is no going back. As a good friend of mine says, "Depression or Dog Coins to a Trillion."
