HemoCue AB’s Post

At #HemoCue, we are committed to conducting our business in an environmentally responsible manner, protecting both our people and our planet. Our continuous improvement mindset drives us to consistently seek ways to enhance our processes, reduce our environmental impact, and promote sustainability across all aspects of our operations.   One of our major ongoing projects this year is the construction of a new building at our headquarters in Ängelholm, Sweden. The building will house cooling machines that use a natural cooling refrigerant, supporting our aim of reducing greenhouse gas emissions. The new machines will also help us become more energy efficient and are expected to save an estimated 400,000 kWh of electricity annually. In addition to that, heat will be recovered and used in our existing buildings, preventing it from going to waste.   “Every step we can take toward sustainability matters, so this is an exciting project to be part of as the impact is really big. We started planning for this about two years ago, and after the summer of this year, we began preparing the foundation. The project is running smoothly so far, with the building structure already in place. If all goes as planned, the cooling machines will be ready for use in March 2025”, says Ola Lind, PMP®, Engineering Project Manager, who’s been running the project together with other team members.   Stay tuned for more updates on the project! #AdvancingCare
