Each note she presses feels exquisite, carrying her passion and emotion through the music. It’s not just the melody that captivates me, but the way her fingers move with both confidence and a gentle hesitance, revealing how much she’s grown and how much she still has to discover. The #Biden administration wants all new vehicle sales to be #electric by 2030. It is offering tax credits to drivers buying #EVs and helping #manufacturers with grants to convert their #factories for the production of such vehicles. Harris is expected to continue the current administration's policies, though some reports suggest she has softened her position on #EV mandates. Meanwhile, #Trump is hoping to win #Michigan by warning that the industry is under threat from #electrification. #Michigan – one of several pivotal swing states – is where Henry Ford revolutionised #transportation. Titans in the #automotive industry including #GeneralMotors, #Chrysler, and #Cadillac are headquartered in the state. While gas-powered cars are still being manufactured, many factories once vital to the sector have been demolished or are in the process of being pulled down to make way for an electric future. Across the state, preparations are also underway for an influx of #EVs on the roads. Chinese electric vehicle maker BYD opened a new sales and service center in a suburb of #London, marking the latest step in its expansion in the United Kingdom. Located near the Lakeside Shopping Centre, on the eastern edge of Greater London, the new #BYD store features popular models, including #Seal, #Dolphin, #Atto 3, and the newly launched SEAL U DM-i. #Technology advances that have allowed #electricvehicle #battery makers to increase #energy density, combined with a drop in green metal prices, will push battery prices lower than previously expected, according to Goldman Sachs Research. Global average #battery prices declined from $153 per kilowatt-hour (kWh) in 2022 to $149 in 2023, and they’re projected by Goldman Sachs Research to fall to $111 by the close of this year. Uber is updating its platform with new sustainability-minded features, including an “#EV preference” that will let customers opt for fully #electricvehicles by default, whenever they hail a ride. On the delivery side of its platform, the company is adding farmers’ market produce to Uber Eats offerings in two major U.S. markets: New York City and Los Angeles. Hyundai Motor Company (현대자동차) has started production at its new electric car plant in Georgia, USA. It has also entered into a multi-year partnership with Waymo in the US to integrate the Georgia-built Ioniq 5 into #Waymo's #autonomous driving fleet. According to #Hyundai, the first road tests with #Waymo-enabled Ioniq 5 are scheduled to begin at the end of 2025. “We are thrilled to partner with #Hyundai as we further our mission to be the world’s most trusted driver,” said Tekedra N. IT’S REAL, AND IT’S COMING - #Tesla’s humanoid robot, known as #Optimus, represents the company’s foray into #robotics, designed to revolutionise labor-intensive tasks through automation. #Tesla envisions #Optimus initially being used for tasks such as warehouse work, factory operations, and even household chores. The #robot is intended to handle jobs that are dull, dangerous, or repetitive, helping reduce labor costs and improve safety. In the long term, #Tesla’s CEO Elon Musk has expressed ambitions for #Optimus to assist in homes, caring for the elderly, and possibly expanding to more complex tasks as its #AI improves.
