I help founders bootstrap technical products & teams | Former: Head of Tech @Baton Technologies, Head of Technical Operations @Behance
In my career, I’ve worked at lots of startups. Some were founded by folks with conviction and empathy, but little experience operating. Other founders were well connected, with a talent for working with VCs, but had difficulties managing people. Regardless of the skill mix, here are 2 gigantic red flags to look out for in a startup’s founders: 1. Not being involved full-time 2. Not involved in building or selling If a founder isn’t fully dedicated to the company, and they’re not contributing to product development or revenue generation, that’s a sign telling you to find another company ASAP.
