One of my best friends (Matthew Gallagher) is an account rep for FARO Technologies. I have the privilege of nerding out over QA, reverse engineering, and use cases for this hardware/software. Wild amounts of accuracy - and a good example of how an ROI/ROA analysis could shift mindsets on automation enhancements. Additionally, a great conversation starter for us.... Why "own" an asset like this if you are going to be upgrading in 3 years? How are older fleet assets being phased out with obsolescence? How does the business dispose of "cutting edge" tech that will be turned over to remain competitive? How will an asset or automation enhancement similar to this reduce overhead? DM me if your business is in growth mode! These are areas my team and I can add value!
Is this TRULY a 1/24 scale die-cast car? 👀🤔 Utilizing our Quantum S Max FaroArm from FARO Technologies, our quality control team discovered that Lionel Racing ‘s 1/24 scale Ford Mustang Dark Horse model is nearly perfect to the true 2024 Ford Mustang Dark Horse body we race on track. With the die-cast metal portions of the car measuring within thirteen thousandths (0.013) of any adjustors we’d have on our race cars, the shape of this die-cast is within the thickness of about four pieces of paper from the shape of Brad Keselowski or Chris Buescher’s Ford Mustang Dark Horse you’d see on Sunday. 💯📄 . . #NASCAR #Diecast #cadmodel #3dscan #collectible #ChrisBuescher #FordPerformance #FaroArm

Lucid Motors has a game-changing secret weapon, and it's the size of an Xbox but packs the punch of a BMW M3! Picture swapping out an M3's engine and transmission with a mere 35kg powertrain that matches the horsepower – that's Lucid's mini motor magic. This groundbreaking technology isn't just a whisper; it's already making waves as the "Regen motor" in Formula-E. January 2023 dropped the bomb, but somehow it slipped under the radar. Think about it: improved torque, enhanced reliability, and bye-bye tailpipe emissions. Lucid Motors is paving the way for a vehicular revolution. The mini motor isn't just a component; it's a catalyst for a new era of miniaturization, reshaping the landscape of how we engineer vehicles and reimagine space. Buckle up for the ride into the future! 🔥🚗 #LucidMotorsRevolution #MiniMotorMarvel #ElectricDreams

Day 2 at United Motorsports Academy for the L.I.M.E 2.0 program, the focus was entirely on suspension systems. Rex Keen led an in-depth discussion on the various suspension systems utilized in both consumer vehicles and motorsports. It was astonishing to learn that even the simplest suspension systems, such as the De Dion design from 1894, still have applications in modern supercars. Keen also delved into the complexities of advanced systems like the Weissach axle developed by Porsche, showcasing the evolution and sophistication of automotive suspension technology. The session was not just theoretical; it also included a hands-on component. Rex Keen demonstrated the suspension system of the F4 cars exhibited at D&O Motorsports providing a practical perspective on the intricate mechanics discussed earlier. Additionally, we had brief discussions on essential concepts such as toe, camber, caster, dampers, and steering systems. These discussions helped to build a comprehensive understanding of how these elements influence vehicle performance and handling. #vehicledynamics #formula1 #learning #suspension #UMA

Tubular chassis were mainly used in race cars due to the unrivalled safety they provide. These were an upgrade from the ladder chassis as they were three dimensional and were stronger than ladder chassis. They employed the use of a strong structure below the doors to get more overall strength. Tubular chassis are rarely used on passenger cars. #snsinstitutions #snsdesignthinkers #designthinking
