This week's appointments were definitely on a different level and tested our limits! We had 17 appointments, spread across 3 vets, 7 more than planned for the regular week-bringing our count to 113 for 2024! Let's look at some statistics from the week! -8 females, 9 males -3 pregnancies -2 pyometra -1 abscess, with infected foot -1 tail amputation -1 leg mass -1 in heat One thing we get asked a lot is how much we spend on appointments, and there are some folks that still assume that we can get surgeries for free. Though we understand that you may not be able to pay for your colony to get fixed, it does not mean that we want to turn you away. To be honest, if we don't help you when you are requesting it at 10 cats, personally, we don't want to wait until the colony starts multiplying! Below are the real charges from each day this week, TNR isn't cheap! 01APR: $218 02APR: $666.39 03APR: $1,125.00 04APR: $219.97 TOTAL=💲2️⃣,2️⃣2️⃣9️⃣.3️⃣6️⃣ Rest assured, when you donate to us, every penny is used to care for these sweet souls! We are always looking for new ways to raise funds!

🌟Help Save the Sight of Underprivileged Babies in Rural Vietnam!🌟 Imagine being a parent in rural Vietnam, unable to afford the costly and lengthy journey to urban centers where specialized medical care is available. Many families face this reality, leaving their premature infants at risk of blindness due to Retinopathy of Prematurity (ROP), a condition that can be prevented with early detection and treatment. Your donations will enable us to purchase two essential digital retinal cameras, allowing us to screen and treat these vulnerable infants right where they live. By specifying “ROP CAMERA DONATION,” you ensure your support goes directly to this life-saving cause. Together, we can give these tiny fighters a brighter, clearer future. Your generosity can make a real difference. 💖 Donate now and be the light in their darkness. https://lnkd.in/gHDVaaZP #SaveVision #UnderprivilegedBabies #RuralVietnam #Charity #DonateNow #ROPproject #GiveSight

I call it crazy, John says it's just running, what a mindset you need for 7 in 7! Either way its for an amazing cause and I know that John wants to smash his target, so, if MND or Rugby, or someone you know is affected, then supporting these kinds of efforts is immensely important. Please give if you can. Here's my Business related question: How do you focus on your goals, what habits or mechanisms do you use to get through the tough times in pursuit of your ultimate aims? Appreciate your comments.

7 in 7 This time next week, I will be starting my 7 Marathons in 7 days. Day 1 will see me begin in Birmingham on Monday 15th April and I will be completing a marathon each day running along the grand union canal. The final day will be to complete the London Marathon on Sunday 21st April. I have taken inspiration from Kevin Sinfield and the work he has done to raise money and awareness for this incurable disease. A gift from you today of any amount will not only help to support families living with MND, but will also fund vital research in the search for a cure. Please donate what you can or share this page to reach as many people as possible. Thank you 🙏 Motor Neurone Disease (MND) Association #7x7 #robburrow #kevinsinfield https://lnkd.in/ex5PPr6W

EI’LL BE UP ALL NIGHT FOR WA FAMILIES WITH SICK KIDS This year, I will be walking in an overnight marathon. It won't be easy, but I am determined to push through every step, knowing that the difficulties I face during this marathon are nothing compared to the immense challenges families with sick kids experience. I’m raising funds for RMHC to support families with sick kids. I want to support those who have kids with Ehlers-Danlos syndrome (EDS), which my child has. EDS is a disorder that affects your connective tissues — primarily your skin, joints and blood vessel walls. Vascular and organ rupture are the most feared and fatal complications of some forms of EDS. Unfortunately, it is a life long condition that requires support of multiple specialists and doctors. It is an often misunderstood condition, diagnosis can be difficult and too often it is labelled as a factitious disorder, or “all in your head”. Kids can suffer from constant dislocations of joints and often require pain management to get through each day. Help me raise funds by donating to the link below. #UAN2024 #UpAllNight2024

I’ve committed to stepping out for Cerebral Palsy Alliance (CPA) in the fabulous STEPtember initiative- I hope you can help in even a small way! I’m taking 10,000 steps every day in September to help raise funds for those living with cerebral palsy. I’m well over 250,000 steps so far! It’s a small effort from me, but it’s nothing compared to the life-limiting, super challenging and debilitating conditions that people with CP have to endure every single day. All STEPtember funds raised go to CPA — some towards treatments and some to game-changing research. And research is changing things for the better - earlier diagnosis means earlier intervention means helping reduce the severity of CP is just 1 example. I hope you can sponsor me, by donating, every little bit helps.

Yesterday I came across a thought-provoking article that highlighted the importance of discussing organ donation with family. It's really incredible how being a donor can not only save multiple lives but also improve the quality of life for many, many people through donations like corneas, skin, and tissues. Being an organ donor not only saves lives but it also helps people to see, heal, feel more confident and be more mobile, as I've personally experienced as a knee tendon recipient. I'm immensely grateful to the person that made the decision to donate after their death. As a donor tendon recipient I'll be walking my son to school and kicking a ball about with him very soon which truly means the world to me. The relatively new UK Donation Law of 'Opt-Out' was designed to increase donors; however, it's facing a serious hurdle. The lack of discussion about individual donation wishes is leading to uncertainty and refusals to donate during critical moments. It's crucial to have a conversation with loved ones to ensure your desires are known, removing doubt in the most difficult of times. It's the decision of your loved ones that will ultimately determine whether you become a donor. Check out this article on the BBC for more insights on this important topic. Let's encourage open conversations and make a difference in the lives of others through the gift of donation. #OrganDonation #BloodDonation #Healthcare #FamilyConversations #DonateLife

We often post about the activities our residents enjoy each day. These activities are vital to ensuring each resident can live a fulfilling life, which is at the heart of all the Meath does. But just as important, if not more, is how each and every resident is kept medically safe. Epilepsy is a very complex condition in which there are many risks we have to monitor each day. One risk is the risk of SUDEP (Sudden Unexpected Death in Epilepsy). People with epilepsy who have more than one type of seizure, are on multiple anti-seizure medications and have nighttime seizures are at the highest risk for SUDEP. A reliable and state-of-the-art carer-on-call system is necessary to help keep the vulnerable residents we care for safe. As part of our capital appeal, we are upgrading our internal safety systems. To find out more about how you can support our fundraising efforts, please visit https://lnkd.in/ercSKRrd The total cost of The Meath Capital Appeal is £1.1m. Your donation will make a huge difference to us as we future proof our services. #captialappeal #fundraising #charity

Every life has worth. But in India, too many lives are cut short simply because families cannot afford emergency medical care. At Worthy Lives Charitable Foundation, we are working every day to change that. We provide financial assistance so underprivileged people can get the treatment they need to survive medical emergencies. Our fund has already helped save hundreds of lives by paying for urgent surgeries, medications, and hospital stays. Every donation, no matter how small, allows us to save more lives. For as little as 500 rupees, you can help cover the cost of life-saving antibiotics. 1,000 rupees could provide pain medications after an accident. And 5,000 rupees might pay for a child's emergency appendectomy.
