It could even save a life 💚 Only 45% of people are comfortable talking about suicidal thoughts - it's time we change that. Having friends and doing things that are important to us can make us feel like we belong and have value. This can help protect us from feeling like we want to hurt ourselves. A research study by Kleiman and Liu discovered something interesting about how having people who support us can indirectly prevent suicide. They think that when we have support from others and spend time with them doing things that matter, it can make us feel better about ourselves and help us feel like we belong. These two things are connected to a lower risk of wanting to hurt ourselves. When we're part of a bigger group and have a strong connection with others, we feel like we matter to them. Feeling like we matter gives us self-esteem, which means we feel like we're needed, important, and good at things. #gravitycounseling #preventionfocus #helpishere #southcarolinatherapist If this message resonates with you or someone you know, show your support by liking, sharing, and following.

Breaking Chains and Finding Freedom – My Testimony of Salvation On October 12th, I had the humbling opportunity to share my journey at the Youth Are Chosen Conference, where I delivered my Testimony of Salvation. Standing before the youth, I recounted how I was once entangled in addiction and battling with mental health challenges—seemingly in an unending cycle of hopelessness. But God. 🙌🏾 Through His grace, I was not only delivered from the darkest moments of my life but also given a new purpose. Today, I stand free, restored, and a testament to God’s power to transform lives. At the conference, I shared not only my struggles but also how far I’ve come—using my story as a beacon of hope for those who may be going through similar battles. I reminded them that no matter how deep or impossible a situation may seem, with faith and perseverance, there is always a way out. My message to the youth was simple: • You are never too far gone. • Your past does not define your future. • God has a purpose for you. Seeing the faces of young men and women light up with hope was a powerful reminder of why I continue to share my story. I am living proof that you can overcome, rebuild, and rise to new heights. Thank you to everyone who made this event possible and to the incredible youth who inspire me with their strength and resilience. The road to freedom may be long, but it is one worth taking—and I’m here to walk that journey with you. Together, we are chosen. Together, we are stronger. #TestimonyOfSalvation #YouthAreChosen #Transformation #FaithJourney #MentalHealthAwareness #AddictionRecovery #PurposeDrivenLife
