Autumn 2024 #AsiaWeek might be over, but we're keeping it going here at #HeritageAuctions with two spectacular Signature Auctions featuring two remarkable Asian Art collections.   The September 24 Fine & Decorative #AsianArt Signature Auction is a beautiful compilation of more than a dozen distinguished U.S.-based collections of significant objects from Japan, China, and beyond. The collections boast collector names that keen-eyed connoisseurs notice when scouring a season’s auction schedule: Ruth Sylvia Nelkin, Princess Maria Romanoff, Dr. John Ross, the Kestenband Collection, and works from the collections of military commanders like James B. Linder and Lu Jingcun lead the fall auction with exquisite works in cloisonné, important ink paintings, jade and jadeite, Tang dynasty terracotta and more.   On September 25, the second auction of the series, Japanese Woodblock Prints from The Nelkin Collection Part II Signature Auction, will take place. However, no combination of these adjectives can define how impressive a CGC NM/MT 9.8 pulp truly is. Not only is it a 9.8 pulp, but it is also a highly sought-after issue that commands premium prices even in low—and mid-grade copies.
