Preparing for a natural disaster isn’t something to delay. ⛈️ In the event of an upcoming storm, here are some useful tips to keep in mind: ➡️Listen to a NOAA Weather Radio for critical information from the National Weather Service. ➡️Check your disaster supplies and replace or restock. ➡️Bring in anything that can be picked up by the wind (bicycles, lawn furniture). ➡️Close windows, doors, and hurricane shutters. If you do not have hurricane shutters, close and board up all windows and doors with plywood. ➡️Turn off propane tanks and unplug small appliances. ➡️Fill your car’s gas tank. Few #Hurricane Tips: - Generators must be placed outside and should not get wet since electricity and water do not mix. Remember, the emissions from generators are odorless and can be fatal. - In case of an emergency, consider using dishwashers to safeguard valuables like documents and photos as they are essentially waterproof. - Avoid taping your windows during a hurricane as this does not help and can create a hazard by turning larger glass pieces into projectiles. - Prior to the storm, fill up your bathtub with water for emergency use, such as flushing toilets. - During a hurricane, ensure to close all exterior and interior doors, and windows to compartmentalize the pressure in your home, giving your roof a better chance of remaining intact. - In the event of flooding, remember to shut off the electrical service at the main breaker to prevent water damage to your electrical system and outlets. Stay safe and prepared during hurricane season. #SafetyFirst #EmergencyPrep

As Hurricane Beryl approaches, our primary concern is your safety. Lucky Duck Pools will be closed on Monday, but we’ll be back to service your pools on Tuesday. In the meantime, here are some tips to help protect your pool: 1. Do Not Drain Your Pool: Keeping water in the pool can help weigh it down and prevent damage from high winds. 2. Turn Off Power: Ensure all electrical equipment is turned off to avoid damage. 3. Remove Loose Items: Secure or store any pool accessories, furniture, or toys that could become projectiles. 4. Shock Your Pool: Chlorine levels will get diluted due to the exces amount of rain and will become habitable for algae. Add shock to get your water to 10 PPM chlorine. 5. Trim Nearby Trees: If possible, trim back any overhanging branches to reduce the risk of them falling into the pool. Stay safe and we look forward to resuming our services on Tuesday. If you have any questions or need emergency assistance, please don't hesitate to contact us. #luckyduckpools #WeCleanPools #PoolMaintenance #SpringTX #TheWoodlandsTX #KatyTX #PoolSafety #ExpertCare #GreenToClean #HealthyPools #SparklingWater #CleanPools #PoolCare
