I’m a great believer in open innovation because it gives us rapid and direct access to the latest technologies and developments around the world.   The most recent example is the expansion of our activities in Canada: We are partnering with the Ontario Vehicle Innovation Network (OVIN), the Government of Ontario’s flagship initiative for the automotive and mobility sector. The purpose is to expand our startup scouting activities in North America and to promote the commercialisation of automotive innovation.   The jointly founded OVIN Incubators will focus on identifying and fostering innovation in future software & AI, future vehicle components and future electric drive. Working with startups, we will help progress promising projects through the provision of specialist expertise and use cases. Selected projects will also benefit from our international STARTUP AUTOBAHN network.   Canada and Ontario in particular is a hotbed of ideas and innovation, which is why we are particular excited to engage with startups and possible partners there. Our participation in the OVIN Incubators is the latest initiative underpinned by our Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the government of Canada, signed in 2022.   #Technology

Apart from the program, which forced us to look at our technology from a business perspective instead of focusing mainly on the technology itself, it has been extremely helpful and fun to have open discussions with other founders, pointing each other in the right direction and learning from each other's ideas.
