Based in North Carolina, we are profoundly affected by the unprecedented destruction Hurricane Helene has brought to our western regions. Despite the valiant efforts of first responders, the National Guard, utility teams, and humanitarian workers, many of the most severely impacted areas remain isolated, lacking access to essentials like gas, food, water, electricity, and phone service. The devastation has also reached parts of Virginia, South Carolina, Georgia, Tennessee, and Florida. Although our facilities were not damaged, it's likely we all know someone—be it a colleague, friend, family member, neighbor or client—who has been touched by this tragedy. In such times of crisis and hardship, deciding how best to offer support can be challenging. However, uniting in our efforts can create significant impact. We encourage you to consider supporting the recovery alongside Alcami by contributing to the North Carolina Disaster Relief Fund. If you prefer to donate through an organization you're already familiar with and trust for their relief efforts, we suggest considering direct contributions to them or to established entities like the American Red Cross or Salvation Army. Let’s keep these communities close to our hearts and do everything within our power to assist them as they navigate this difficult journey. Hurricane MILTON and HELENE --- In case you wonder: “How can I help people affected by Hurricane Helene and Milton? Simple, please donate to Team Rubicon. https://lnkd.in/esgd6eg You’ll be helping veterans helping communities in need. I’ve been donating monthly for many years to this organization. But don’t take my word for it. Please do your own research. But I think you’ll find this to be one of the best options, If you’re thinking of helping/donating. Veterans are uniquely qualified to clear roads and debris, setting up temporary camps, distribution centers, delivering water, food and other essentials. They have training and experience from warzones, disaster areas, etc.. They can build temporary bridges and roads….whatever is needed. In short, they get stuff done without debates and discussions, no finger pointing. I served in the Swedish Army, and I was amazed how a bunch of 18-20 years could set up a camp for 800 people in the winter in the middle of nowhere in a matter hours, not days or weeks. This includes building a road, clearing the grounds and setting up: tents with stoves to house 800 guys, (20 guys to a tent.) field hospital, kitchen, a full repair shop for all kinds of vehicles, a gas station for gas and diesel with multiple hoses. Even hot water showers!!!! The camp was in use for two weeks, and cleanup was also done in a matter of hours. (Yes it was cold, below 0 most days.) (My job was to manage fuel and oils for both the camp and 2 mobile fuel trucks. I even had a little heated “office”.) So if a bunch teenagers can get this done in a matter of house, imagine what a team well trained veterans can accomplish, many with experience in warzones! https://lnkd.in/esgd6eg PS. Hurricanes do not care who you vote for, pray to, or live with. Neither does Team Rubicon. Let's put our differences aside and UNITE in helping those in need. #TEAMRUBICON

The devastation caused by Hurricane Helene across the Southeast, with some of the most extensive destruction occurring in Western North Carolina, has left deep scars in our communities. As we keep the millions of those affected in our thoughts and prayers, we at BE&K Building Group are moved by their resilience and indomitable spirit. In response to the immediate need, BE&K has contributed to Samaritan's Purse an organization actively providing relief on the ground to those most impacted. Beyond financial aid, our offices and project teams are coming together and organizing supply drives to deliver essential goods to some of the hardest-hit areas. We also want to extend our deepest gratitude to the linemen, rescue teams, and utility workers tirelessly helping with recovery efforts. If you’re seeking a reputable organization where you can contribute, the following are good options: Samaritan’s Purse: https://hubs.la/Q02SbnKB0 American Red Cross: https://hubs.la/Q02SbmxY0 Convoy of Hope: https://hubs.la/Q02SbhQ40 Please join us in making a difference for those who need it most during this difficult time.💙 It's All About People. #HurricaneHelene #DisasterRelief
