Most of the time, people don't pay 45% of our bills. Because they use grants to pay for them (gotcha there, didn't I!) Working with The User Story obviously has loads of benefits - learning lean design-and-test methodologies, reducing engineering cost and complexity, making better experiences, working with a lovely friendly team - but it also sits within the parameters of quite a few grant funds because of the way we work, and the kind of projects we do. If you're based in Anglia, one of those is the Growth Through Innovation fund provided by New Anglia Growth Hub. It's worth a look, as you could get 45% of our work paid for, or even expand the size of the project to a larger budget. We've done a few projects just in the last 12 months that were supported by this or similar funds. Check it out (or give me a shout if you think your project could be eligible): https://lnkd.in/eXP49e8b

As someone who has participated in previous NSW Government innovation initiatives and a recipient of funding through government research and development programs, I welcome the move to undertake a review of Australia's innovation landscape. Despite the exceptional talent of problem solvers in Australia, our collective inability to commercialize inventions remains a challenge. We're not doing enough in this space - or not doing it well enough. Developing products requires a range of elements, including funding, market understanding, project management skills, and community support. Mentorship that reflects a diversity of necessary skills is critical for success. It's important to first identify the problem and then develop a solution rather than taking a "build it and they will come" approach. Governments should facilitate, not run, programs that match private sector capital with individuals involved in development to pave the way to better outcomes moving forward. Let's work together to create a thriving innovation landscape in Australia. Grant writer and innovation consultant for EU (European Innovation Council, Eurostars, LIFE, etc.), UK (NIHR, Innovate UK, etc.) and other European national funding schemes
EIC Accelerator Fast track scheme - a direct way to the EIC Accelerator Step 2 (full proposal) The ‘Fast Track’ scheme is a novelty introduced under Horizon Europe to provide a specific evaluation path for existing Horizon Europe or Horizon 2020 projects to the EIC Accelerator. Under the Fast Track scheme, applicants do not apply directly to the EIC Accelerator call. Instead, a project review is carried out by the responsible funding body to assess the innovation or market deployment potential of an existing project, to decide whether the project is suitable for support under the EIC Accelerator. If so, the applicant will be invited to submit a proposal directly to the full proposal stage . In 2024, the funding bodies and schemes which are eligible for the Fast Track for EIC Accelerator cut-off dates are: - The EIC Pathfinder and EIC Transition projects (including under EIC pilot) managed by the Agency; - Relevant schemes managed by the Knowledge and Innovation Communities (KICs) supported by the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT), as identified as relevant by each KIC; - Funding schemes for SMEs supported under the Eurostars-2 Joint Programme and the - Partnership on Innovative SMEs managed by the Eureka secretariat and relevant national bodies; - Companies awarded a grant only under the Horizon 2020 EIC pilot Accelerator and the Horizon Europe EIC Accelerator managed by the Agency. #eicaccelerator #eic #fasttrackscheme #EuropeanInnovationCouncil #startupgrowth #grants #grantwriting #innovationfunding #innovationconsulting #smallbusinessgrowth #smesupport #eicpathfinder #eictransition #eunnovationconsulting
