So for those Aesthetic Therapists you could use a headling similar to: “Expert in Skincare, Laser Therapy & Cosmetic Procedures 💆♀️ | Certified Level 2, 3 & 4 Aesthetic Therapist | 20 Years working in the Industry | Golf Enthusiast ⛳” Highlight your key skills, industry expertise, and awards you have received. 🎯 Add a touch of personality or a unique value proposition to stand out from the crowd. Informal Sector *Unqualified hairdressers easily find jobs. *Salons are willing to provide training to inexperienced stylist. *Highly staff driven turnover due to low commission earned. *Stylist prefer to own their own businesses. 12.Business Management and Entrepreneurial Skills. -Strong Management Skills -Basic organisational skills -Coherent business plan -Appropriate financial forecast -Education through practice -Comprehensive, strategic, and motivated approach to business. -Excellent customer service care -Strong culture of health and wellbeing of salons -Promote your business unapologetically -Create new opportunities -Own Your Personal Brand -Expand your business -Know Your Worth -Planning and Control -Management of the business --Honour clients appointments -Financial management skills -Mentorship Skills -Passion for the business -Good customer relations -Good employee management 13.Administrative Issues -Slow administration by SETA is prevalent. -Delays in students being able to write trade tests and delays I receiving quatations. -Zero administrative systems nor process in place. 14.Outdated Qualifications -Hairdresing programmes accredited by SETA are outdated. -SETA biased towards Caucasian Hair skills. -Qualifications developed without adequate input from industry experts,making it impractical and irrelevant tothe skills that are required in Hair salons.

Challenges facing the Beauty Profession. If there's two words that best describes the challenges in the beauty profession, I would say change and uncertainty. As we slowly overcome the covid, salon owners and hairdressers are seeking a new beginning 2024. Our challenges existed long before the covid crisis, staff turnover, lack of an apprenticeship program, poor business skills on the part of many salon owners, lack of unity among salon owners, staff pirating, an outdated educational system, client retention, price and commission wars, not adapting to change to name a few of our past challenges.
